When artists usually adapt a very, very stylized art style, the question is always how their ability to see and copy really is. But you're actually good at everything. I wouldn't mind seeing tutorials, which explain this process, because this is stuff is a whole another level of art IMO. Simple shapes and basic colors are one thing, but when we start talking about realism, values and form rendering, that's where my brain starts melting. Again, amazing result!
What you said is inherently untrue. Usually good/top notch artists with very stylized art styles have the fundamentals of art so down pat, that realism and referencing imagery to recreate is easy peasy. Just takes time and patience.

As an artist myself, I think this is insane. And it takes time and patience for a piece of art to be realistic and in the art style that we want it to be. I think you should do Harley Quinn next. Why? Because she is my favorite DC anti-hero and my favorite over all of them DC characters.

Before starting CZcams a couple of years ago, my main thing was drawing realistic portraits with traditional coloring pencils 😊 I'm not really doing tutorials about this as I feel my teaching skills are not good enough yet to explain everything that goes into it, but hopefully I'll get there soon!
The shading and coloring process was really good. As far as facial structure goes. I'd say you did great. The one things that throws me off is the eye to bang ratio. The bangs practically sit on her eye lids in the reference photo. In the final result it appears that the eyes overall have been nudged a bit further down her facial structure, rather than aligning with the bangs a bit higher up. It makes the glare turn into more of a doll-like stare. Again this was really good; To see how you went about the process of breaking down her figure to build your foundation. Simply delightful😊
I would love another portrait tutorial but this time doing something more like you did here (and like I see on other speed paint demos) where the majority of the painting is done on a single layer so that the liquify tool can be used. Never found a tutorial for something like that which actually worked for me but you're my favorite procreate teacher so I'm sure you could make it work.
This is very well done. I made a procreate hyperrealistic portrait of Wednesday too (from the same photo you used) and I know exactly how much time and patience that this involves! I appreciate you sharing this video with us to show your process. Love your tutorials!!!

To be completely transparent, I filmed this video 3 times because I was not happy with the final result 😅 So it's really all about practice and trying over, and over, and over again. I'm still not fully satisfied with the result, but I believe that's a normal part of the learning/progression curve. I might do a video about that actually! I recently bought like 3 of your brushes pack but after trying 2 hours to recreate one of tour tutorials I gave up lol, after seeing this video it makes me want to give it a go again, I had my iPad collecting dust for a while so I’m trying to make the most of out it.
My daughter is so inspired by you and i would love to get her into it, could you give me an idea of where to start as in base model graphics gear please and thankyou for helping my girl through some tough times
Instead of drawing the lineart first, painting the silhouette of what you wanna draw like this first, and then refine it with linearts, shading and stuff like this is life changing. If anyone haven't use this kind of technique yet then please try. I always have problems to create a full body pose tbh they look weird and stiff & I always second guessing myself but this kind of technique make me feel more confident in my drawing, it looks more alive and not as stiff too & perhaps help to save some time so. :))

I find it funny when digital artist do this challenge like rendering with one brush us an actual challenge. I've only ever used one brush and a blender. The challenge is making custom brushes for me.

Yes, one layer :) I usually use a lot of layers as well, but I think it's good to practice a more "painterly" style from time to time!
