Honstly, once you hit 755 the credit game is pretty much over. A credit score of 755 is pretty much as the same as a 850 credit score. Some times a 755 score can approve you for things that an 800 credit won't. I haven't run into a person that has 800 plus scores that can get things that I can't with my 760 credit score. I used to think that the higher my credit scores is the better I'll be but it's never the case. The truth is there's nothing a 800 plus scores can get that a 750 credit score can't get! 750 Will hold the same APR As a 800 plus card holder has. Here are the tiers magic numbers 621 to 680 is fair game. 680 to 720 is good game. 720 to 750 is very good game. 751 to 850 is excellent game. When you're 620 you will get approve for anything that a 680 will be approve for, Same goes for the rest of scoring numbers . so don't loose sleep over trying to get to 850 because once you turn right you'll eventually see a sign that says DEAD END AHEAD.

Im so excited because as of today my credit score is 740. Ive been rebuilding my credit since Jan 2018. Im estimating that I will be at 750 by Oct. 2022 when 2 of my hard inquiries fall off and my average age of accts. has grown some more. Im pretty satisfied with my total available credit that I now have for a couple years so I will be credit gardening.

Law of diminishing returns. The difference between 680 and 720 is significant. But between 760 and 800, not so much. Once you’re at 760, that’s usually good enough (unless you plan on starting a business, or some other situation where your credit and debt service coverage is looked at in much more detail.)

I just got bumped to 759. Ironically my score dropped like ten points after I paid off my car loan. But it's going back up. I used to want my score to be like 820 but I'm at the point where it doesn't matter much. I'm not looking to buy another house and hopefully I'll keep my car for like ten years. I have three card that I mainly use rewards cash back. I may get one more next year, but that's it. Great video btw. I recently subscribed to your channel.

A common mistake is the most Americans are taught that fewer credit cards are better than more credit cards. Better to product change to a free card if you have AMEX instead of canceling AMEX to migrate to Visa/MasterCard. Keep long credit history instead of having to recover over years. Chase will have hard pull if you want to increase limit to decrease utilization for better higher credit score. Chase suggests increasing your income and reporting income improvement to them for soft pull on credit increase.

    question from a European :
    - when you say pay of, do you mean pay the full balance every month ? (So like a debit card, actually. You just borrow the money for 30 days or so).
Because if yes, why would you apply for more and more card ? If you need money just do a regular loan at the bank, it should be cheaper (and fix payment, so will help improving your score)

I have 2 missed payments from like 30 months ago on my discover card. So c.k. shows me having 98% payment history even though I've paid off my motorcycle loan of 4 years without a missed payment. My truck loan has been current 2 years. My 2 credit cards have been current since those 2 missed payments 30 months ago. I want to get my payment history to 100% since I'm always current. Is there a way to get those dropped, or can I call discover and ask them to amend that or something? Since that happened, discover raised my card limit $2300 without me even asking lol so that should speak for itself of my history

Some of the cards he has reviewed his wife applied for. Plus, once you had one card from an issuer you can kinda figure out how other cards may work from the same issuer just by reading the terms and fine print.
Don't cancel your cards. You will lower your available credit and could mess up your utilization if you owe money on one of your other cards.
Instead, pay them off and toss them a drawer if you don't want to use them. Just put small charges on it every so often.

Losing a job affect the credit card score. I was out of work for three years. I could not pay my bills. Had to sell my condo to pay my creditors, my frudbdrand family that loaned money. I've been employed three years now and bought another condo two years ago, but my credit score still bites. ( DO NOT OVERCHARGE)!! several of my account we're closed by credit card companies. It's impossible to know what will happen today or tomorrow because I believes my credit card will remain the same forever and after several credit card repair companies failed but on CZcams here I got recommend to hackerjoyO can't say it all. But these guys saved my life. They're highly recommended.

Yeah that’s a lot of hoops to jump through. I think I’m gonna pay for everything with cash. At least I hope I’ll be able to make that happen.

if you're at 772 on credit karma, which is only an estimate, you're likely around 790-800 on the real reports

@@TraderDT Keep it less than 3% by the start of every Friday (for me that is). You can let it be much higher than that, just pay down most of it in a Thursday.
