Recently started following your content and you’re super knowledgeable on credit cards. I travel at least once a month to see my daughter in NY. Over the years I’ve only used my NavyFed platinum card. I’ve used this card for the past 5yrs and I have no points/miles whatsoever. I seriously need to get a better card/cards. I’m not loyal to any airline or hotel. Any suggestions?

Currently hold 5 capital one cards, please stop saying there is a 2 card limit. That is absolutely false. Call capital one, they’ll tell you it’s not true. I normally love your videos but I’m quite tired of you not taking the 2 minutes to look into capital one policy.

I'm not putting $100 Grand in a standard bank account just to get a miniscule bump in credit card reward points. BoA is trash to begin with, and they don't do HYSAs. That is a dredge-tier credit card. *Pass* !

Thanks for the video. I have the capital, one setup and also the American Express set up. The capital, one setup is a no-brainer. (No annual fee ). The american express because our home airport has a centurion lounge. And my wife and I fly about eight times a year.

Noooopppe. Incorrect. If you have a 4.5% mortgage and make 8% ROI in the market, you GROSS 3.5%. What people who follow this strategy always fail to take into account are 2 things: 1.) taxes! You have to pay taxes on those market gains. So whether you pay them at the end of the year (say in the case of dividends) or in 30myears when you sell and reap the profits, you’re still paying taxes. So that 3.5% gross return is in the low 2% range. That’s not even beating inflation. 2.) the tiktok video by John (whose wrong on a lot of stuff he posts btw) fails to show you is, if you’re making that $415k in ROI from $500/mo investing over 24 years…YOURE STILL PAYONG INTEREST ON THE MORTGAGE OVER THAT 24 YEARS!!! the $84K in savings is the interest not paid on the last 6 years of the 30 yr fixed mortgage. Bc of the way amoritization works, we know that over the first 24 years the homeowner has paid WAY more than $84k in those 2.5 decades. Subtract the taxes and that $415k is going to be whittled down to not enough profit for most people to be comfortable with risking a paid off home vs a couple thousand dollars profit. Bonus: he’s paying right at $1k/mo in interest and principal. With a paid off home you’ve now been able to have a $1k/mo tax free raise to your budget. Over those 6 years that’s $72k one has to invest. Which at 8% now totals just under $92k.

I stayed down there about 4 or 5 rooms to the right when you walk into the room where the scottish rocks are from the ancient times and i atw at lorenzos for dinner and the cafe for breakfeast also had moongate the show was amazing i ate the chicken and beef i loved the deserts to. No thanks. The $300 travel credit and the 10k miles have to be used in Capital One's travel website. There are more options and better customer service when you book airlines and hotels directly with the brand. Not to mention your loyalty program benefits.

Tip #5 is huge and has helped me once before, but there is a tiny caveat (kinda). If you pay your balance down to $0, it will report to the credit bureaus as a one off, but it DOES NOT skip that next billing cycle. Example: You pay your balance to $0 on the 21st and Chase reports it to the credit bureaus. If you spend on the card again and have a balance, and your statement date is the 1st, it will once again report your balance to the bureaus on the 1st, despite you paying your balance down to $0 on the 21st.
