This is the reason I never want to do cruises because of these scary situations!
The thing is we tend to think that cruise ships are seaworthy given their size, but any ship can become unstable in a severe storm.
going directly into the storm is the safest thing for a ship to do if they cant avoid it, the same as taking a wave head on is safer and less destructive than being hit on the side
Babies!. It's the ocean...not a highway in Nevada.
Right? Imagine cruising over the ocean and being mad at the ocean for being ocean.
I’m confused… Did the ship have to go into Charleston during the storm? Could they not have waited or went a different direction??? Passenger safety is more important than a timeline! 🙄
Carnival prioritized money over safety and need to be held accountable for that.
Carnival corporate made the decision to risk the lives of their 3000 passengers & hundreds of crew to save money. They always do. They dodged a bullet this time. Someday they will not be so lucky.
😂
I was on that ship during that cruise in cabin 1567. This is being blown out of proportion!! Not once did I feel unsafe!!!!! A bunch of BS!!!!!!
I was on it too,, very scary.i was up all night, people were terrified on deck 2 where I was and other paaaengers..our cabin flooded too!!!😢😢😢
Every cabin in the ship have life jackets in it. So whoever is saying did not get the life jacket, they should listen to safety briefing that most people ignore.
I went on a cruise some time ago and the captain announced rough waters but he went around it instead of going through it. cant they still do that?
Of course, they should have stayed either in the Bahamas or far out to sea. There was no excuse for risking all those lives.
@@bgregg55 Yes, greed over safety. thanks
I can think of the state the ship was in after that. Head out again right away with no clean up?!
Or even see if the ship was seaworthy? IDK, the Carnival ships are impressive. But I don't think any of them are safe.
Too big, too many people aboard. God forbid something worse than this might happen. The other Carnival brand.
whoa...rough waters at sea.
I was on that ship, my sister who is 63 passed out,, how can they say we were safe what if this was a heart attack!!! We got no compensation yet bcz this was a back to back cruise.. there was no Way we would of stayed in that ship , so why are we penalized and out almost 2 000 dollars!!!.??? I want answers and Carnival is not answering
Wow.!I’m so sorry 🙏
The one guy on the ship said his cabin window was shattered 😳🙏
We passed them when Celebrity was coming into SC. They were going to Bermuda.
Fear mongering. Crew with life jackets? Its probably standard procedure for just in case emergency, while talk like that creates panic. The media is to blame.
I'm sorry you had a bad vacation I'm glad everyone is ok also if you run in bad weather you could put on your life jacket to feel safe
Yes but Life Jacket does not guarantee falling overboard!
@@freebutterfly102 I have not been on a cruise while way before covid hit I say insured Incase people get sick I love cruise stories
I'm scared now because me andy 2 sons going on the exact ship next year
Some of the comments in here are unbelievable. You're at sea. Storms will happen and winds are unexpected. The ships are designed to stand up to harsh weather. That doesn't mean it'll be a ride where you won't feel the waves or rocking if the boat. If you're coming during hurricane season, you should know this and even if you aren't, you should be expecting this. Complaining and crying about it isn't going to stop a storm. Put your big girl panties on and make the best of it. God, this country has turned soft. 🤦♂️
It's not Carnival's fault mother nature dishes out bad weather. I love cruising but like anything, whatever you do you always take chances (flying on an airline, riding in a car, or even crossing the street).
It cracks me up when people take vacations and NOT look deeply into the forecast. The worst storms in the Carolinas occur March thru May. Need to plan better 🙂
That is the job of the cruise company that you are paying. They are supposed to be professional.
The worst story ever. Why are there two men so terrified and everyone else was cool?
Corporate greed at it!
Sounds like someone wasn't doing their job with the forecast probably wasting time on Facebook and Twitter. ..........💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀
Please, try a fishing boat in the North Sea to experience some real excitement.
Maybe Mother Nature doesn’t want petrol killing her children I’m not sure
Thank you for choosing Carnival cruises 🤡
Y’all ever thought it was our Heavenly Fathers showing you what he is capable of doing?? He does say to not travel on the sabbath day and we continually do not want to obey his commandment. Just be grateful he allowed you to see another day❤️❤️
The same ship went back out again after being battered by the seas; with crews wearing life jackets and not providing any proper instructions to passengers? That same ship? Wow.
Nobody forced them to take a cruiser 🤷🏻♀️ Weather happens.
They are on a giant ship not a speed boat😂
These people are dramatic
Drama queen.
Wimps! That looked fun!
Is this a skit?
How many more interviews does that woman need to do get a free cruise?
I mean it was worse than "cancah"
😂
😂😂 meanwhile her elderly mothers in the background...
Will ya shot up ahhlready crawybaby, I'm tryin' ta watch The Gulden Goils!!
Go home and sit in your AC, Golf carts, Mud trucks, GOP rally's and lock your doors...God's Nature would appreciate it LoL 🦦🍷🍷🐿🌊🌀🌫
Ship of Karens😆
Unless you were there, and experienced what we experienced, you really have no right to comment. The captain sailed us directly into a violent storm, then failed to give us any update for 12 hours. Then Carnival took down the TV channel that broadcasts the wind speed (which was over 70+ knots) and later took down the internet so we could not communicate with the outside world, while they did damage control. I am grateful I didn't die, but this incident must be investigated to protect passengers in the future. Cruise companies cannot prioritize money over safety, period.
@@jlpdemail3715 I can not even imagine how scary that was. So happy no one was seriously injured. This makes me want to never go on a cruise ship.
@@jlpdemail3715cry about it
Stay home, mo'fos!
