I rarely comment. Just wanted to say Richard, I love your honesty and passion. God bless you and your family!
Thank you 🫶🏻
I love how passionate you are about your hobby and your little friends 😊

I have white clouds and rice fish in with my shrimp, seems to work well. You're right - lots of hiding places and vegetation for the shrimp, and the right size and temperament of fish. everything is breeding! my nano tanks look like total jungles
People don't raise shrimp....the grow biofilm. Great channel! Keep up the great work.

If you want to keep shrimp woth fish then make sure you get some cover like lots of plants and rocks and you need to get smaller fish with your shrimp like small tetras guppys and pygmy corydoras
👍🏻
I have regular Cory’s, my shrimp still breed and the baby’s make it. Have a rock cave stuffed with plants so there’s a million spots for them to hide until they grow up.
Good morning from California!! Thank you for more videos!!! Keep it up!

great video! i am in the middle of setting up my competition aquascape tank and was thinking, i'm going to be adding in some shrimp for sure but with some nano fish. i was thinking things to consider and things i might have missed and BAM this video popped up on my feed. thanks for the wonderful insights and things for me to consider. can't wait for the next video!
Another outstanding video, Richard. I have 3 male Endlers in my 30cm cube. They pretty much leave everyone alone. I saw one take a run at a shrimplet once, but it was too quick.
Thanks 🫶🏻
Only learned about sponge filters very recently so ordered one in case I would feel the urge to setup a 2nd shrimp tank. Well, yesterday evening I noticed my builtin filter in tank 1 wasn't working anymore. Made noise but nothing happened. Did a quick setup with the sponge filter (cat found it interesting too 🙂) and was really surprised with the result this morning. Water was pretty much crystal clear and there was a nice collection of shrimp feeding on the filter.
Sounds good. Thanks for sharing 👍🏻
I have Ember tetras, Neon tetras, Otocinclus, Pygmy Corydoras with my Shrimp and they all live happily together. Adult Shrimp swim around without fear and I have plenty of plants, mosses and other cover for the small shrimp
*PLEASE READ*
Richards ebook comes highly recommended by myself. I’ve tried and failed miserably to keep shrimp, but sadly ive always lost them. I bought the neocaridina shrimp handbook. Read it (twice) then went to my lfs and bought 10 red cherrys. Added them to my tank that only had 4 females, and last night i counted 42 shrimp. Thats the ones i could see. If you are like me and have had no success with shrimp, better yourself and make the investment. You will not be disappointed.

Without knowing it, I put java moss to the shrimps at my work. I thought it looked like something they would appreciate. Well, it took just seconds before the moss was filled with shrimp 😅 I need to get some for my own aquarium.
I keep mine with luminatus rainbowfish, and they do extremely well together. But those fish are also small, with a tiny mouth and often stays at the upper half of the aquarium.
Another great video! Many thanks for sharing.

I enjoy your channel. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.

I'm a novice with shrimp and am trying a heavily planted 10 gallon. If you have the time would you allow me to pick your mind?
Hello Richard, ive been watching ur videos for only a month now but i love all of them , i have dwarf goeramis and diamond tetras , and a few neon tetras. Could they work with shrimp if i do everything as said in the video?
Hi. Thanks for taking the time to share your kind words. I would say, providing you give the shrimp sufficient cover (and I mean a lot of cover) then shrimp can work with the fish you have. I kept a large colony with Congo Tetras and that worked out well 👍🏻
❤❤❤
Recently put betta on one of my shrimp tank and it was chasing the baby but betta is just too slow for them.
Has anyone kept a Mexican dwarf orange crayfish with cherries?
Man yesterday i removed my xrays tetras from my tank i saw them eating my ababy shrimps they broke my soul😢
😔
Does the higher ph for shrimp affect the fishes?
That would depend on the fish. If they were some wild caught Betta albimarginata, then probably yes, but the vast majority of fish in the hobby will be fine in the same pH range as Neocaridina Shrimp 👍🏻
I would love to have a pea puffer with my Green Jade Shrimp in my 10 Gal ❤ any tips?
Success will depend on the temperament of the pea puffer. With that said, ensure you give the shrimp lots and lots of cover 👍🏻
Personally, I wouldn’t risk shrimp with murder beans…but I’m sure there are some success stories out there. Hopefully you will be one of those stories!
Whats the BEST way to remove shrimp from a tank? I want to breed blue jellies but my 55g planted tank is loaded with wild colored neos. I dont want to order blues while the wild types are still in here. Help lol
I just use a REALLY small net. A tea strainer can work too
Oh boy so there isnt an easier way? This is gonna be fun lol
Why do most you tubers refer to dollars and not pounds even if from the UK
Because 60 to 70% of the viewers are from USA 👍🏻
@@FishKeepingAnswers wow I had no idea 💡
Everydays a school day
@@FishKeepingAnswers next question , do shrimp change colour when they molt
And does the colour of the berries have any relation to the colour of the babies
Not expecting a answer to these but maybe add to a video at some point
M
Almost all of them eat shrimp.
The question is how much shrimp you want to reach adulthood 😂
100% true! I would say, with the possible exception of an Otocinclus, EVERY fish will eat baby shrimp given the chance. 😩
