- These faux fur ear warmers are a best-seller for me in my vendor marketing events for the past 2 years straight. They are super quick and easy, and use very little yarn. You can find an Ad-free printable pdf of this pattern that also includes a hat with the faux fur brim (I dubbed it the Ushanka Hat) in both my Etsy and Ravelry shops. I also have a pattern set that includes instructions for wrist warmers, boot cuffs and a scarf with pockets that match the faux fur ear warmers and the Ushanka Hat (I called it Ushanka Accessories). You can find all my patterns here: linktr.ee/dayscrochetnc
Please note that you do not have my permission to sell, illegally share, translate, copy, or duplicate this pattern or my photos in any way. Please do not use this pattern for a video, blog, or class tutorial. Thank you so much for following these simple rules! I bought this type of yarn for trimming some slippers and I needed a pom Pom for an emergency granddaughter hat. And magically made a perfect ball by complete accident 🤣🤣🤣
These are very cute. Will try it out xx
These sold well at my vendor station. I am making more to sell now. It is my best seller!!
I'm so happy to hear that! ❤️
I've gotta try this! I have a terrible time in the winter with my ears and the wind. Thanks for sharing!
You are welcome!
These are so cute. Thanks for the tutorial. I'll have to order some of this yarn.
You are so welcome! I'm glad you like it!
Hi Dana! I love these and I’m going to give it a try today. I have a few skeins of this that I purchased from Walmart.com. I only needed one for edging of a project but I had to purchase 3, so this would be beautiful (I hope) with the burgundy color I have. Thank you 🦋
I would amend a part of my video. Instead of making the foundation ch just the circumference of your head, add 2” to it. I feel it makes it fit less tightly. Good luck!
@@DaysCrochet Thanks for the heads up
Good morning!
Do you remember how many ear warmers you can make from one skein of this yarn? I’m definitely going to try this pattern. Thank you for sharing 😊
I believe I was able to make 3 ear warmers out of 2 balls. Hope this helps!
That’s great, thanks for getting back to me so quickly 👍
Have you ever washed these or how would you recommend to? I have heard to many stories of fur yarn not holding up. They do look beautiful
I have not washed one yet, but if I did I would use a very mild soap like Woolite and hand wash them gently. Then I would lay them flat to dry. I imagine taking a hair dryer to it after it’s dried would help ‘fluff’ the yarn back up.
Another one of your projects I want to make! Soooo cute. How much did you sell these for?
$20!
@@DaysCrochet Thanks!
I love these! How many headbands can u make with one ball of yarn?
I can usually get 3 ear warmers out of 2 skeins
@@DaysCrochet thanks so much😀
Could you please tell me how many yards are in the skeins you used because they come in different sizes.
You need to carefully pay attention to the yarn label because they don’t actually have different yardage, but they DO have different bulkiness. They carry the regular Go for the Faux (which is 65 yards) and they also carry a jumbo weight version. You do NOT want the thick and quick jumbo version for this project. It’s way too bulky and it gets extremely heavy. It’s made for blankets, I believe.
Thank you for taking the time to thoroughly answer my question, much appreciated. 😊😊😊
I haven’t been able to find the printed pattern. .????
It’s a part of my Ushanka Hat pattern. I apologize for not mentioning that. I often put ear warmer patterns with hat patterns to help people get more for their money.
@@DaysCrochet The yarn you used has been discontinued. If you ever come up with a good substitute I’d love to know.
@@cathisalach4540 It’s not been discontinued to my knowledge. I find it in Walmart all the time and I’ve recently seen it on Lion Brand’s website. If it’s been discontinued, it’s news to me😭 I do know We Crochet carried a faux fur yarn. Maybe check their website?
Did they really name that style after a dog?😩😩😩
Lol 😂
