Happy Holidays everyone! This scarf is my absolute favorite '$5 cut & sew gift' for anyone, family, friends, co-workers, or it's a perfect 'teacher gift!' For new sewers I was very detailed in the video; veteran sewers here is a timeline to fast forward:
    Timeline:
    0:00 Dawn's Intro
1:00 Layout and cut the plaid fleece
    8:45 Pinning the plaid perfectly!
    12:29 Preparing the sewing machine
    13:48 Sewing the inside seam
    16:33 Trim seam allowance
17:43 How to make the twist to create a mobius scarf
19:00 Pin the scarf closed prep to sew
23:25 Turn the scarf right-side out
25:12 Prep to hand sew finish
    25:46 Slip stitch closed
    30:42 Dawn's overview
Tools and supplies are listed in the description! Thanks, everyone - happy sewing!

Merry Christmas Dawn, I would love a tutorial on a scarf that would include a head covering. I recently saw someone wearing one. It was all one piece. I live in Buffalo NY and often times, weather, it's wind rain or snow, I wish I had something I could slip on and be on my way. One piece. Thanks

When it comes to hand sewing, I made a leather thumb cover that's covers the whole thumb. Yes I have picked my thumb more than once. Love the Scarf.

    • @StreamlineSeamstress

You do not twist it, but sew the last seam at opposite ends, this creates the 'twist.'

Thank you for the tutorial, it went so smoothly. I’m a novice so I went with a pattern that is louder and doesn’t need careful matching; cutting straight on long lines is definitely something I need to work on. I was also a little confused about the part pinning the end and smooshing in the middle to invert it, but as I started pinning, it became more clear how to stuff the middle down and almost inverted itself. Looking forward to trying some more subtle patterns and some with two fabrics for contrast.

Thank you for this lovely video. I so enjoyed it! Just wondering how to wear it now. It ended quickly at the end and you didn’t really show how to put it around your neck. Does it loop around twice to make it fit? I’m assuming yes, but wasn’t sure. Thank you!

@@StreamlineSeamstress HibDawn, I did this scarf today, but cut my fleece in a way that I did not have to match anything. It came out great. I did the top stitch on my babylock ellisimo with a straight stitch set at 3.5, with the sides lengthwise serged with a 4 thread overlock. Thank you.
