I totally misheard 'heart emoji' as 'fart emoji' and was amazed that not only is there a fart emoji, but it comes in different colors!! 🤣🫀
OK PROMPT OFFICIALLY CHANGED, leave your best fart emoji in the replies to this comment
🤭😂 sorry, no matter how old we get and how sophisticated’ we are or try to be…that’s just always a giggle-fest starter!! Thank you!
😂😂 Until now I though the fart emoji was just a giant gust of wind 😂😂.

My “to do list” consists of stuff I want to do and stuff I already completed! Reminds me I am being productive when my brain is telling me I’m failing
It has been so helpful to me seeing a planner with missing entries. I beat myself up if I miss pages and it's so reassuring to see it is totally normal 😊
It is ABSOLUTELY totally normal 💜
💜 Thanks for being so transparent about your planner and mental health! I love seeing when other people "miss" entries. It happens! Life happens. I also like seeing how your planner pages morph w/ different size margins, etc. as you figure out what works for you. ✨
I call my to-done list a TADA list because 🎉Tada!!🎉 I did it!!
Cannot tell you how much I appreciate the CW re: weight loss talk and giving the timestamp to opt out 🖤 your vulnerability re: planner breaks is so relatable and makes me feel like I’m not a failure when I fall off my planning 🤗
Thank you so much for being transparent with your planner. As a spoonie those blank weeks happen and falling off later in the week are pretty regular. But keeping those in place can be a bit of a touchstone for our well-being and help us identify patterns. Also, congrats on celebrating your wins, no matter how small!! It sooo important but so easily forgotten. You are doing great!!!
Thank you sm
The ‘energy level’ it takes for spoonies to do not much of anything is wild!! I enjoyed your planner walk through.. very helpful and inspiring!! Thanks so much!!💕🥰❤️🩹
I really like your style and your willingness and bravery to show some vulnerability is very admirable. It's okay to be human and it's okay to pause, read and reflect without the constant busyness of doing.
I have depression issues also and my October/beginning of November has many blank pages. I just stopped worrying about blank days because they really reveal where my mind was at and how I was feeling.
Thank you for addressing the hole depression brings into your life as well as offering what was helping you pull out of it and get back into journal time.
I have loved all of your videos that I have watched so far. Thank you. ❤
i think megan rhiannon has us all in a chokehold with that genius dot sticker tagging system! i’ve started a new commonplace in an A6 stalogy last week and i’m excited to start using colored dot stickers to tag book excepts, song lyrics, and articles :)
I know right hahaha. I hope it works well for you!
Thank you for talking about struggling with your mental health! As someone who also struggles with their mental health and loves planning, I go through periods where my planner is filled with everything and looks great, and then there are times where it's empty AF. My planner is definitely a reflection of where my mental health is at, and how I'm coping with those struggles!
I'm slowly learning to appreciate that an empty planner can tell you just as much about how your life has been going, as a full planner can; those empty pages aren't a judgement of your capabilities, but are a sign of poor health and legitimate struggling, and as such deserve just as much respect as your full pages!
When I have those empty pages I go back and add some quick notes to explain how and/or why I was struggling, so that when I'm looking back I don't judge myself for my "failures", and instead remind myself that (just like everyone else) I'm doing the best I can, and that when I have multiple empty entries/pages there's a valid reason for that!
Hearing about your mental health related planner struggles helps remind me that I'm not alone, and that we all deserve to be kind to ourselves when we see those empty pages! 💜
This is such a sweet comment ♥️ lots of the time I go back as well and just note what happened so that I have some kind of continuous sense of where I was in one planner. But yeah, empty planner pages can tell you a lot and doing these flip throughs (even off camera) really helps me contextualize what exactly those messages are.
agreed! i always appreciate how genuine Rachelle is in her approach to planning, reminding us that our writings are a reflection of us to be used as a tool for our well-being and personal critique, without judgment.

As someone who is also emerging from a burnout AND using the common planner, I’m excited to see your next quarter set up! ❤
It's going to be EXTREMELY CHILL if I can make it work 😂 Hope you are recovering from the burnout ok ♥️
@@RachelleinTheory perfect! I’m heading into my most busy season at my job, so I have no choice but to pull it together- if only just enough!
I highly recommend the book (in print or on Audible) "Burnout" by Emily and Amelia Nagoski. It got me through working in healthcare during the pandemic. It is specifically focused on people who identify as women.
I loved that you showed the blank weeks Rachelle, it made me feel normal for not keeping up with my planning. Very powerful x
I use 💛 to spread happiness and because it is associated with friendship when giving flowers. 🙂
💛
My God. You are so very very authentic and powerful with your courage of sharing your life and the planner. I have the B6 for the next 6 months, and it is undated, so I will see how far I get with this. I love love the sticker tape at the bottom of some of your pages. I wish you well.
🥹🥹🥹 This is making my heart really warm. Thank you for the sweet comment.
💜 Hang in there. I've had mental health struggles lately too. Sometimes it's hard to find motivation. Love your videos. This one helped me feel like it's okay not to be okay. I appreciate you!
Yes!! And same to you my friend, much love 💜
So relatable. Thanks for sharing this. This is how my planner looks too. I struggle with depression. Thank you for putting this out there. Love and hugs to you.
hugs 😌
Thanks for making this video! 💚 Sharing you wins and challenges makes *ME* feel a LOT better!!! I was worried I was the ONLY one who didn't fill everything out! (I know it sounds silly, but THANK YOU!!!!)
I'm switching to a common planner next year, primarily because of you. The way you explain everything has been very helpful, giving me a well-rounded idea of the planner. Apart from that, your planning style and how real you are makes your videos amazing to follow. Thank you for putting time and effort into these videos ❤
🥲 this is such a sweet comment and I really appreciate it ♥️♥️♥️♥️
You've done an amazing job as always. You'll always have our support.
I love your honesty and transparency
Love the margin idea. It reminds me of Cornell notes!
OKAY I KNEW I COULDN'T BE THE ONLY ONE GETTING CORNELL NOTES FLASHBACKS
i read somewhere a different term for 'to done' that sounds so much more fun. instead of a to-do, you have the Ta-daa!
Love that you showed the blank pages!!! It’s nice to hear what you like and don’t like, and saying that it’s okay that your own habit and preference would change.
GM, I have watched several of your videos and I ❤them. I appreciate how valuable you let yourself be and the same time keep up boundaries. I started to watch your videos because talked about the hobonichi planner and since I’m still trying to find my personal planner peace I watched. I decided to take the plunge and purchase one very cheap to see if I would like it and the size I ordered. So thanks for being you and have great day.
💜Rachelle: You rock! Thanks for the great Cyndi Lauper quote-I just added it to my journal. I don't know if you dig Earth Wind and Fire, but one of their early songs was "Keep Your Head to the Sky." It's a nice mood booster. Thanks for sharing your real journaling/planning pages!
My planner habits are hit and miss because of my mental health. That has always made me feel crappy about my planner journey. Seeing your process when you are struggling actually helped me. I wish no one had to deal with that, but thank you for sharing.
Like your style of work and that you have all the little thoughts you are working out. Some of your weeks work and some don’t which is totally normal not just artistic book with two tasks and events in a week and no scribbles or changes like some
Thank you Tristan!
Thanks for sharing your mental health journey. I share mine online too. It takes a lot of courage. You rock!
Thank you so much for this comment
I too have dot stickers. The only difference is that I use them to signify different people or groups of people.
Thank you for showing us the blank weeks! I think we all go through those periods in our planning life.
I appreciate your authenticity and great content. New subscriber here.
Thank you so much and welcome to the fam ♥️
Hi I just found your channel and binged it 🙂. Thank you for your approach and insight to linking planning with mental health. Can you share the video you watched about being burned out?
🧡
loved this!!! Esp goal breakdown spread was really inspiring.
Great video!
honestly i prefer non-dated planners because then if i miss days because im busy or my mental health i dont feel guilty or like im wasting space! i have bought a dated planner recently for school so i can jot down deadlines and other things to make sure i am on schedule but i kind of prefer to make the layout how i like it myself
💜 I’m so glad I found this video! I’ve been struggling these past few months, as well. It helps to see how not everything **needs** to be perfect in a planner. Thank you for sharing!!
I think we all have weeks and days blank in our planners. I embrace those times and they don’t bother me. ❤
New subbie love how you explain everything and how you are realistic with your mental health . We have alot in common . Tfs
Welcome to the channel and thank you
Rachelle, take a moment to celebrate your artistic ability bc that barely-a-second shout-out about the outfit you drew up/planned out was so good. It was lite, fun, whispy (is that a word?), and looked professionally done. Very cool, girl. 🙌
Oh my gosh THANK you 🥹
@@RachelleinTheory though it not need be said-keep it up!
Thanks for sharing. Love how you keep it real! Take care of yourself.
♥️♥️♥️♥️
Aaahhhh I have the Noface pen too! I switched out all the inks to be .5 and that made it perfect for me. ❤️
YAY a fellow no face pen user 😂
Off topic, but those binders on your shelf have the cutest smiley face, makes me smile every time I see them.😀
Thanks for this. Have been having a hard quarter and it was nice to hear and see you share about it as well. Such is life. We are all in the muck together ❤
That we are ♥️
This might be one of my favorite videos. I love the realness of it. It's been a really rough few months and mentally I'm trying to come out of it. I appreciate seeing how lovely your planner looks in various states. My to do list is a combo of to do and done. Thanks for sharing 💙✨️
Thank you for commenting 💙 I'm both happy and sorry that you can relate to this vid haha. I hope you are taking care of yourself in the midst of all the chaos 💕
Hm maybe I should try a margin. I so often want to add a bit more detail to something. If it's a some longer writing I will add a signifier (+, ++, +++,...) and write things out later, but if it's just a few words or a sentence I try to squish it in and it looks messy and often ends up being hard to read. I guess I don't want to waste space... But I can always add some keywords, a sticker or a doodle to fill it up if it's completely empty. I like stickers, they make me happy and yet don't use them a lot.
I use a square for my to-do's (fill it up when done) and a check mark for my 'ta-da's ' (things I did but did not write down as a to do beforehand). It's really helpful especially on days were a lot (or all) of my to-do's are still undone. Sometimes a lot of other things came up. Sometimes it's a sucky day, but hey I still did /some/ things!
💙
I also have dot stickers, but I've been using them purely for decoration 😅 I categorize and color code with my markers
that must be so freeing! i do kind of want to start color coding and categorizing that way but I'm not sure where to begin 🤔
@@RachelleinTheory well, for me it took like 6 months to develop my current system, so don't worry too hard about it 😅 I started with "yellow is for travel and green is for doctor's appointments" and then just kinda kept going from there, seeing what popped up
I've also had a crap ton of empty spaces in the last 4-6 weeks, mostly due to my health (mostly physical, some mental). Sometimes, energy needs to go elsewhere. I figure the planner will be there when I'm ready to go back in.
love your handwriting ❤
wow this is the first ever handwriting compliment i've gotten on this channel thank you so much
Just found your channel! As someone who struggles with mental health this is so affirming and cool to see. I would love to see a budgeting system if you use one? Budgeting can also be really tough especially with a preference for analog methods. Thanks again!
Welcome to the channel, happy to have you ♥️ I may make a budgeting video at some point, its on my list but honestly I've historically been very bad with money, so my budgeting system is not really something i feel I can show off, per se 😂 but maybe someday :)
I'm way behind on this video but I'm so glad I came back to it! May and the first half of June were super rough for me as well...I hit burnout most likely due to hitting the ground running w/work stuff and my writing project after coming back from vacation in April. I'm finally starting to get back into my normal grind, though! And I love that you talked about the "Done" lists. All this week I've been writing out my accomplishments after the fact, and for some reason when I preplanned today last night, I wrote out a to-do list. Did I get any of those items done? Nope. 😂 I'm so glad to hear that you're bouncing back! Enjoy your weekend and thank you for all you do Rachelle. 🙂
Thank you
Thanks for sharing your methods of organization. Are you able to retrieve your note easily when you put them in your daily planner?
Commenting while watching… thank you so much for the trigger warning and timestamp re: weight goals. I was able to safely skip ahead and still enjoy the video. Just wanted to let you know that those efforts are mega appreciated and worth the extra editing time. Thank you
I love that you include the “real side” of planning, including those times when you pages aren’t so ✨aesthetic✨! Mental health is no joke, and i find the pages in my journals and planners that reflect that just as valuable as memory keepers as my full, pretty pages.
What do you think of the new common planner sizes? I am thinking of the TN standard or the A5. I have two weeks to decide. As for May, I feel you there. I had a autistic shutdown/burnout after my father-in-law passed away. My dad in Denmark, my dad in the US passed in 2018, my father in 2014. So the past month also I have also been so out of it, and a lot of insomnia. I rely on the saying ‘Each Day is a New Beginning’ and reciting the starting stanza of a poem called ‘Keep Going’ by Edgar Guest. It is better than some negative mantras I say when I really get depressed. Take care of yourself! 💜
♥️ I'm sorry about your loss and I hope you are taking care of yourself in the wake of all that. As far as common planner sizes, I'm thinking of B6 and a pocket size. I have a video where I react to the new sizes coming out in a few days if you want to follow along w that process. :)
@@RachelleinTheoryI am looking forward to the video! I just added the heart you asked for if we watch all the way through. I always look forward to your videos and a few others on the planner tubes. Let us just forget about May okay?
@@Stormbrise This comment really made me smile, thank you. I agree, let's just forget about it. 😌
Sending you love cause been there done that (depression sucks). The moleskine size is great for journaling, doesn’t take too much room on my night stand but still big enough to write in
Also I have read over 200 books this year so far so I can give you a few of mine so that you complete your goal 😅
200 BOOKS. IM IN AWE
@@RachelleinTheory It's the depression and anxiety :D
I feel for you. May was rough for me too and I’m still treading water. I hope you are feeling better.
I hope you are too ♥️
@@RachelleinTheory thanks, I’m lucky to have a great support network so although it’s difficult at the moment I will get back to my usual self with some time and work.

Quick question: would a b6 planner fit comfortably in an a5 cover? I think I want to switch to a b6 planner next year but one of my biggest reasons for hesitating is that I don’t really want to buy all new planner covers too. 🖤
My planner is blank for the entire month of May, it was a rough one!

Love the realness! I've also been obsessed with Megan Rhiannons journals lately, but haven't tried her system out yet. 🩷
Her content is so sweet but I think I've determined the dots are not for me 😭
I’m in a pretty tough bout myself… haven’t slept good in 2 weeks. Is it the bad state of mind that keeps us from sleeping? Or the lack of sleep that keeps us in the dark space??
