    Stumbled across this. I am just so impressed with the standard of interviewing -both interviewer and interviewee. Real intelligence, emotional and intellectual, so evident to the viewer. There is no equivalent in UK media, tv etc. Such a refreshing change and humbling to see such honesty without ego. Actually inspires me to learn Swedish language to understand without sub-titles.

    From Santa Rosa in Tokyo in 1972 to Brighton, Sydney, Glasgow and now Kilkenny...the super troupers have regaled us with the Ode to freedom in the time of the metaverse space of 2021...This 50 year fleeting voyage will now slow down andante andante and take a breather....I am sure the voyage will continue somehow...as long as the eagles, birds and bumblebees spread their wings, these two dancing queens and their kings will never lose their crown or spirit....thanks for showing us the noble way old friends do to appreciate the little things...Once you told us you were nothing special, infact maybe a bit of a bore, but when all is said and done... we could not have asked for more... It was our privilege and destiny, to have shared your history, an epic half century...from the glitz and glamour of that Eurovision night to Agnetha wearing the covid mask... you basked in the glory with dignity and humility...your next stage in this marvelous voyage is the remaining little step towards immortality....the gods had a notion; threw the dice and just like that took a chance on you....and you lent us your voice and let your music speak so beautifully....no doubt about it! Heaven help your hearts and we thank you once again...for the music voyage...and all the little things it brought to us!

    I wrote lyrics for an ABBA song. I have the melodies they can use, or they can create their own. This song can close all of their shows and give a sendoff to all of their fans. I'd love a chance to share it with ABBA.

      I don't speak Swedish either. I think the only thing he is saying, basically, is that no matter how happy he was, that people liked his music, and loved his work with ABBA that none of it really matters because he didn't like it. And that he could care less about getting back together, because at the end of the day, they got their fame and fortune. Why should we do something the fans want? We don't need their money anymore. We're set for life.

    Bands come and go. The epic ones will be the ones remembered for thousands of years. A majority of us will be forgotten soon after were gone. People who make their mark, good or bad, live on. Unfortunately, in groups, like the Beatles, Led Zepplin, ABBA etc, it takes the entire group to make the success work. The Bands I mentioned above, as great as they were, take one ingredient out, then the recipe falls apart. Can't substitute a new ingredient for a missing one. To me, it seems selfish to turn the world on to something, then, because of personal rift and arguments or what ever break bands apart....take the entire thing and throw it in the trash. John Lennon, Paul McCartney and many others go on to do great solo things but none ever matches what got them there in the first place. "The band". And no matter how many people loved and addord them. Bought the records that made them rich, or payed to see them live....are the victims. With ABBA....what possibly in the world, could have happend to make them say..."Fμ©K what the fans want. We don't want to do this anymore. None of us really like each other anyway, so we're just gonna quit. Fans will get over it, eventually. And they did. How ever history sees it. Ultimately, Nobody likes a quitter. Especially when they are quitting on tens of thousands of fans. If that's their leagacy, so be it. Works out better for me. AC/DC and Judas Priest were my bands growing up and I can't even begin to tell you the looks I got, as we discussed bands, when I woumd say.."what about ABBA"? They rock! Total silence, just staring at me, can hear crickets chirping....then sombody would say, how about Van Halen or Alice Cooper!! Hell yeah!! Motor Head!!!
    Never gave up on them as they did me but I still cant figure out why I liked them so much in the first place. Why did any of us? Why do we still? In a thousand years, will people cook with thr same recipe?

      You are right in many ways, the world is changing faster and faster, we moved so quickly from one thing to the next, sure can't even remember what they are for breakfast. Then we will all be is some graveyard with people sitting on gravestones drinking their lunchtime coffee, perhaps a glimpse at a headstone or two that's it. However, we have a life, we can decide to enjoy it or not, we don't have to be famous to do that. To be honest it's a way of thinking, I, however, don't like him very much, I grew up with them, "Fernando", was something I loved to listen to is was and is so true of our time. I feel he is self opinionated, I watched three interviews with different band members, I didn't feel for them today as I felt in the past. They are extremely arrogant, the interviews made me uncomfortable because I realise we have changed, we are enlightened.

    • @jeanpierreviergever1417
      @jeanpierreviergever1417 Před 3 lety +1

      I see your point, but I also understand that creating music in a band is a creative process that requires a certain state of mind, dynamic and cooperation. If that is no longer there, the band as such serves no purpose. Sure they leave fans behind, but putting out music for the sake of it doesn’t do the fans justice as well. My impression is that the group reached the end of their combined creativity in 1981 and therefore the end of ABBA. The guys were already working on Chess, Agnetha suffered from touring and needed time off. They had ten years in making great music, more than many other band did. Their songs sound simple and catchy, but were also complex and melancholic. I think that is the attractive recipe for ABBA songs.

Look at Dr. Judy Wood's fantastic research on the topic as well as sites such as "Rich Planet", Check The Evidence" and "Red Pill 78" and learn about fabricated terror and the truth about Covid 19 and many other inter-related subjects.
