I like the VR game isn't perfectly photo realistic but just enough to convey the point at just how advanced the video game is compared to anything humans can make.

The sucking up into the sun was an amazing scene, but what is impressive how cool the trisoleran computer is using the people , so cool!
There are science fiction novels about the computer build from humans called "Souls in the Great Machine"
Yes, and that was so unphysical that it pained the hell out of me as a physicist. Anybody who has taken high school physics should be able to tell that it can't happen that way. What can happen is that a planetary body gets shredded to pieces if it gets within the Roche limit of another body. The sun's Roche limit is approx. 1 million kilometers from the center, which is little more than one Earth-Moon distance above the sun's surface. The sun would be taking in the entire sky at that point. The temperature would be approx. 3000K or so.

@@konstantinkrastev4478 It's not about the calculations they do. That was actually kind of a cute scene, even if it wasn't exactly new. Stanislav Lem had something like that in a short story (I believe it's the 13th Voyage in the "Star Diaries" (1957)). The hive mind trope has also been mined to death by other authors. You can find it multiple times in Star Trek ("Borg", "Founders"), the insectoids in "Starship Troopers" (at least there it's funny that the enemy has achieved the kind of "Gleichschaltung" that the fascist human society in that movie is striving for... just in case you didn't appreciate the sarcasm in a usually underrated movie) and it appeared recently in "Ender's War", probably also in "Arrival", though not quite explicitly mentioned. So, yeah... there is very little of interest here and what there is, is absolutely illogical.
The ending was very shocking and the VR scenes really well done! Such a great episode!

There’s 3 books and they are already in the first part of book 2. So probably 3 seasons. There is a lot to cover in book 2.

@@prasarttopitumatukhun9597 While it is indeed involving CGI there is zero AI involved...! And it is far from being easy ! You think that it is just pressing one button but it's actually all very manual crafty work.
The VR headset design should've covered the nose & mouth too cz they are clearly saying they were able to smell and taste the earth...

One of the most overhyped tv shows in the last 20 years or so… Practically plotless, boring as hell, quasi intellectual…. But it helped me to sleep better. I needed only 3-5 min of watching that crap and I was out…. Thnx netflix…
