If you’re ever out near golden, the Ralston creek wildlife area along drew hill road has an outcrop with amythest. Plenty of stuff on the ground to look at and even a bore hole in to see the core amethyst. Very cool- haven’t seen anyone talking about it online but definitely a cool sight to see
Unfortunately, now that I have moved not sure when I will be back in Colorado, but if I do I will make sure to check it out!
