How to Use Cricut Adhesive Foil

- If you've wondered how to use Cricut Adhesive Foil you're in the right place. Today we're going to use Adhesive Foil and Adhesive Foil Matte starting with a test cut to learn which settings work best.
We'll test which Transfer Tape to use and the steps for lasting adhesion!
Also, I don't know why I kept saying StrongGrip Mat instead of StandardGrip - we'll just call it - "tired" :)

Great project and very useful tips on using adhesive foil. I just ordered the Fall mystery box and it includes adhesive foil. I had never used this material before so now I feel prepared. Thanks to you, I also ordered the strong grip transfer tape to use with it.
The StrongGrip definitely makes a difference. I think most materials that require StrongGrip Transfer Tape come with a sheet but good plan having extra on hand.

I am making wedding place cards with the rose gold foil and was struggling so much with it not sticking to the regular transfer tape at all! (All this time I had no idea there was a strong grip one.) This actually now worked perfectly! Thank you so much!

Cricut Adhesive Metallic Foil -Rose Gold can be use for custom mug ? After sticking can it be removed ?

Definitely wait 72 hours and then you can gently hand wash :)
Great video 😁The Cricut adhesive foil is something I struggle with. The metallic foil especially. I have the Cricut explore air 2 and I have to do at least 3 passes in my machine to get a clean cut even when it’s set to adhesive foil 😔
Oh no. Did you try upping the pressure before cutting? I will try cutting it on my Air 2 soon!
Yes Ciara same here. I jus came to CZcams to read reviews on Cricut Foil and I’ve tried more pressure. I hate wasting time lol the directions are on side but didn’t work for me either
Update: I have an Air2 and had to choose Cardstock setting and more pressure to cut Cricut adhesive foil.

Cricut Adhesive Metallic Foil 12"X48"-Rose Gold can be use for mug ? If yes so it can be remove ?
Yes it can be used on mugs. To remove it I would soak it in water as that is not recommended with permanent vinyls :)
Isn’t the green mat standard grip and the purple is strong grip correct me if I’m wrong?
You're not wrong. I said the wrong thing so I tried to correct it with the text on the video because I couldn't refilm the whole video.
What about removing clear protective sheet before cutting ? This is what my package of glossy silver foil says but I can’t find the dam coating
is that a Cricut product? Are they saying to make sure you remove the plastic sheet from the cutting mat?
@@CreativeHousewives yes mam and i could NOT for life the life of me ever find any plastic sheet UNTIL i tried putting it back in the tube-- it was a complete nightmare
That's sounds like iron on...Iron on has a plastic sheet.
Can adhesive foil be used on balloons?
I'm not sure. I haven't tried it yet. I would think if you cut something that could be used like a sticker that wouldn't require transfer tape it would work.
