How to Apply Adhesive Vinyl on Cardstock - No Tearing!

Applying adhesive vinyl to cardstock without tearing is one of my most commonly asked questions so it was about time I explained!
It is really easy once you know the method - let me know below if this works as well for you as it does for me!

Great tutorial. I especially like the info about using used or less sticky transfer tape. I am wondering if there is a method to sealing the vinyl on the cardstock. I add inspriational vinyl sayings to the front cover of my handmade journals. What sealing agent should I use to make sure the words stays put and last longer? Thanks for your help.
