    Pro video and tips.. I would only add that is is not necessary to disassemble the back control panel to replace the top... It can be done by carefully manipulating it out of the way.. The Top panel on these great washers is especially susceptible to rust and corrosion around the bleach cup. Better steel and paint required by the manufacturer.

    Seems like you could easily over torque those nuts with an impact driver. How can you tell how much torque is being applied?

    Is this washer good. The Maytags and Whirlpool have defective water level sensors on circuit board.

    Do not buy one of these washers. Designed to be a maintenance nightmare. Total waste of money if you can't simply access for repairs like most other brands. Shame on you GE, never again

  • @dennim3286

    Do not purchase this washer! This is the worst washer I have ever had. I have to wash small loads or the clothes come out with dry spots. The maximum water level is 8 inches below the top of the drum. I wanted a washer to wash a comforter in but this is not it. If I want to wash a blanket or sheets I have to push the clothes down multiple times.

    • @repairclinic
      @repairclinic  Před 4 měsíci

      This model washing machine is 4.5 cu. ft. If you are trying to wash a king size comforter or larger, we recommend a 5.0 cu. ft. washer. Some king size comforters or not super filled blankets are fine in a 4.5 cu. ft. washing machine. It's best practice to wash the blanket by itself. Double check the tag on your blankets and sheets for recommended washing specs and check to make sure you are using the correct wash settings for heavy/bulky items.
      If your washing isn't filling enough, check out this troubleshooting video: www.repairclinic.com/Repair-Library/Troubleshooting/2918/Top-Load-Washer-Won-T-Fill-Washing-Machine-Troubleshooting
