August 16th 1977 to be exact I waited on this pass August 16th to see if we would have a lot more Elvis commemorate the anniversary of his death classic Turner music classic Turner movie channel ran about four movies and that's all they used to have a whole day's worth of Elvis movies and things have kind of slow down on January 8th his birthday so we need to keep Elvis alive for the Next Generation I've already started working on my grandchildren and great-grandchildren they know about Elvis he will be around us the king in the next millennium AKA Elvis Junkie
Elvis disliked being called "The King" this was a media construct. He said "There's only one king, and that's Jesus Christ"
Lisa said she could feel her Dad with her when she was singing this song and it became very emotional for her. "Where No One Stands Alone" was one of Elvis' favorite Gospel songs.
Lisa Marie also stated that she could fail her daddy spirit Spirit scuse me when she was doing little gospel songs with him she felt like he was right there with her and that both recording and it X tears came up in her eyes AKA Elvis Junkie

Lisa Marie surprised Elvis's fans who were at an Anniversary concert in Memphis in 1997 (20 yrs after his death) with a video and recording of her singing Don't Cry Daddy with her father - she was there in person and was introduced by Priscilla. Needless to say there was not a dry eye in the house. I was not there but have friends who were and they just said it was the most special moment. She has done a few since then as a tribute to her dad and the fans but this one is from an album she did of gospel duets I believe. I did watch an interview by Ross King (a huge Elvis fan) with her about this. Don't Cry Daddy definitely worth a listen x

Yes Lisa Marie recorded an album of gospel songs she's 53 years old right now be 54 January February 3rd of course I was had already been gone a long time but you made this album you know how they can merge together and make it look like they're right there together but Elvis has three Gospel Four gospel CDs and when he listened to him it takes you to church it gives you Goosebumps I like to think of him being in heaven the king of rock and roll singing To the King of Kings AKA Elvis Junkie
So poignant watching this since Lisa Marie passed away. Now singing beautiful duets in heaven. His Gospel is so amazing.

(you'll never walk alone ) studio version or there's a live version too... poor Lisa has been through it lately she lost her 27 year old son just over a year ago ... what I've heard he had been in rehab not long before... so sad.

Yes it is Lisa Marie singing with her dad she actually recorded it at Graceland there’s an interview with her talking all about the recording of the song I’m sure she said she had never heard this song but she loved it so she decided she wanted to do the duet she did admit she cried and had to keep composing herself before she could carry on She also said she come on dad I need your help and then she said she felt his presence and that helped her through.Everyone says there’s a strong presence of Elvis in the house Priscilla says she can feel him as soon as she walks in the house but she says it’s a beautiful calm feeling Lisa Marie has also done Don’t cry Daddy and In the Ghetto with him and there’s another one but I just can’t think what it is that will really annoy me until I think of it No one sings gospel like Elvis I’ve been in the British Elvis fan Club for 60yrs my older sister bought me my first subscription when I was 8yrs old best thing she ever gave me Please react too I Believe it’s so beautiful you really need to hear this one Great Reaction Love from Denise in Yorkshire England 🏴👑👑👑🕺🏻🕺🏻🕺🏻🤴🤴🎸🎸🎸🥰🥰🥰🥰👍👋

This was such a beautiful duet she made too bad that he died so young because they sure would have made a beautiful duo singing together , his daughter lisamarie was only 9 yrs old when he died she looks just like him she definitely got his beautiful voice sad she lost her dad at such a young age...

You schould react to the original ” Where no one stands alone ”. It’s much better ,I think . It sounds different . So Please do that ,and You Will hear the difference. 😊
It’s how many of us got to know him, solely by listening to him on record,in those days we did not have a video attached to it. It was only his voice that you got lost in .
And in this piece I don’t think Elvis’ voice is stand-ins out , like on the original ,they had to change it ,for Lisa Marie to be in it .
I understand why she did it ,but I don’t like it .
I like the version where he sings on his own . It is way more powerful .
