The first part of our 2018-2019 collection of Chemistry Experiments. Trained students from grades 10 and 11 of N. Alikarnassos Senior High School perform supervised demonstrations under guidance of their chemist I. Chatzidakis.
All excerpts were performed and filmed in the Science Lab of N. Alikarnassos Senior High School.

You were in wrong school... We do a lot of practicals in our school... Currently I am in 11 and we are doing a lot of practicals which are not in the syllabus just to make us friendly with chemicals... Last year was corona period so we could not do much but we still did some when schools reopened... We did the experiment of elephant toothpaste, iodine clock, green fire with boric acid , and a lot others ...

that ice on fire experiment I normally do outside for safety reasons as the gas is flammable and I don't want it floating around my house to find a heat source and to avoid any unnecessary smoke alarms activation

Καταπληκτικές επιδείξεις. Σου βγάζω το καπέλο! Ως συνάδελφος, απορώ πότε προλαβαίνετε να τα κάνετε όλα αυτά. Και σας ζηλέυω για τα υλικά σας. Αλήθεια ποιος πληρώνει γι' αυτά; Το σχολείο ή η τσέπη σου; Αυτό που μου άρεσε περισσότερο ήταν ο "χημικός χαμαιλέων" (τουλάχιστον έτσι το ξέρω) όπου το ανακάτεμα έγινε με γλειφιτζούρια. Πολλή φαντασία σε όλα τα πειράματα. Περιμένουμε κι άλλα.

Για τις ερωτήσεις σου θα σου απαντήσω απλά. Για τα χόμπυ τους οι περισσότεροι δεν φείδονται χρόνου και χρήματος. Οπωσδήποτε όμως βοηθάει και το σχολείο. Αν στην εξίσωση βάλεις και τα παιδιά που είχαν τόση όρεξη που αγόγγυστα ήρθαν πάνω από 10 αργίες στο σχολείο τότε εξηγούνται όλα!
ΥΓ1 συγχαρητήρια και για το δικό σου κανάλι ! Επίσης να ξέρεις ότι έχουμε κοινούς γνωστούς :)
ΥΓ2 Παρεμπιπτόντως το φλουοροσκεϊνικό νάτριο το βρήκα σε παλιό μπουκαλάκι με πολυτονικό (!!!) και το UV light το είχαμε στο σχολείο λόγω παλιάς πάράστασης μαύρου θεάτρου

It is chemical. Carbon carbide reacts with water to produce ethene which then is burnt.
