Simply shocked to see a Tubes interview without their mouthpiece, I mean I love him but fuck, this was like watching an interview with a band Ive never seen interviewed before, and I gotta say, I genuinely like it, I cant think of a time Ive ever seen Prairie interviewed, this is just great, thanks to whoever posted this, good call.

The Tubes have always been so freaking awesome !!! Been listening to them since they put out their first album...so many killer songs and great instrumentation , as always !!! Conceptionally unique...there's lots of band out there but not one ,like my guys ,The Tubes !!! The first 5 albums should be in the Smithsonian !!!

I had the opportunity to be Michaels gf. I turned it down cause his last bf passed. I figured he was into guys more than females. That’s hard to fall in love with knowing that, but I know we would have adored each other. I wouldn’t be able to keep my hands off of him if we were together. He’s so like me. Spontaneous and fun. Great sense of humor. Very cute smile that I would be kissing non-stop. So, u see, better that I didn’t say yes. He would have been over doused with affection with me. 🤣🤩🤣👏👏

He'd need a big moustache though for maximum coolness...

Wow thanks for the memories, what a throwback! I remember Wolfgang's in North Beach and also vividly recall going to some of the legendary Tubes shows in the late 70's on the next block at Bimbo's, on acid no less. What a show! Rocking music meets carnival and burlesque, done by a bunch of white punks on dope! I really wanted to be part of that scene, but was locked into being a Marinite competitive hippie hipster at that time ( I have a real hand woven poncho and huarache sandals from Mexico, not some crappy Sears poncho or sandals! ). That and their Winterland shows put them on the map for all to enjoy! Back then, only cool, adventurous, artistic, fun and sex loving people moved to S.F.. Like the members of the Tubes. Then the rich moved in to ruin the scene, as usual. I also remember almost getting into a fight with me, my brother and friends against the Tubes and their crew Tahoe. They thought they could steal our girls and rip us off on some BS hash deal! hahaha, we got our money AND the girls back eventually. Wonder if PP and Fee remember that one, especially Fee?! Hahaha, what great times! I just saw them again with the B-52's at the Masonic and they both rocked the place out! I recommend to everyone from that era to go out and see our old dinosaur bands, while we still can! Like us, they still have that old magic ready to go!
