This is the series titled A to Z where I attempt to play every* nation in EU4 in alphabetical order. Of course I had to remove some nations so the challenge doesn't get too boring. As Lithuania take every province in the Russia region
As Lithuania, PU poland, form the commonwealth, and complete the intermarium plan (map on intermarium wikipedia page) including Ukraine, Czechs Slovaks, Hungarians, Romanias, much of the balkans and all of the baltics.
edit: a revised version of this plan also included scandanavia for extra PAIN

Any thoughts on doing an "Ideas Guy" achievement run? Or maybe the opposite, give yourself a minimal start and seeing how far you can get by a given year? Love the videos!
Very easy to do on the latest patch. Start in the Americas with High American tech or western/eastern/whatever if you want to form a colonial nation like the USA. Siberian frontiers as a first idea. Get the 5 year plans which gives up to +2 goods produced (basically 10 production in each province). And the rest whatever; you got goods produced, trade efficiency, production efficiency and then some. Literally got it in 1530's as I hit the +2 goods.
@@robertalaverdov8147 Thanks for the start idea. I love custom nations, my personal favorite start is in the province of Manokwari, starting Shinto, in the northwest of New Guinea. Like you said, take the +2 goods produced (super strong!) and -10% all powers costs as openers, then +2 colonists, +40% supply cap (because I don't pay great attention to attrition), +15% galley combat, -15% core cost, +2 missionaries, +20% siege and +4 promoted cultures, then +2 global buildings as a finisher.
Obviously there is some stuff you can switch around, but in general I rush into the spice islands and ducats are never a problem again. If you expand strategically, you can culture shift and form Malaya, or just push into Indochina then eventually China and the subcontinent. Shinto is great for the morale buff and the fact they can use a surprising number of the great projects scattered around Asia and Oceana.
You can do a similar start in Japan and instead move off into the New World, beat out the Iberians to Mexico and drown in gold from treasure fleets.
I've played Lithuania a few times recently... their mission are really good and then you get the Polish missions once you form the Commonwealth while keeping any permanent modifiers you acquired.

Ming is always funny and they have a special place in my heart as a "wtf is this" nation. When institutions were just implemented, the first time I played until enlightenment, it spawned in Ming :')

22:00 well....in the old versions of eu4 , the mamluks used to go colonize australia so its kinda normal tbh
I would be totally fine with you installing mods or messing with the game files to become Romuva as Lithuania (IIRC its technically in the base game for conversions from CK2) and then conquering Rome.
I play in SEA quite often, gonna do a Cebu game once Domination drops, and I've noticed Ayutthaya tends to lower their troop count randomly at times. I honestly don't know why, they have more than enough money to pay for it.

As Lithuania I think you should form the LITHUANIAN-Polish Commonwealth, become the protestant league leader and declare on the Catholics (if time allows). If this takes too long, maybe try to both form the LPC and make Spain not exist.

Developing the gold mine to 10 is so frustrating. People really seem to think that's smart, but that's only true if you think diplo points are of zero value.

Hey RedHawk, I don't know if you see this, but I would you to to change history of commonwealth. Our lands had been given away 3 times to Prussia, Russia, Austria. Challengewould be: Form Lithuanian - Polish Commonwealth and make Prussia (Brandenburg), Russia (Muscovy), Austria not exist.

My march, owning the entirety of Ireland, while also getting my subsidies with the interaction, had 0 troops
Suffice to say that it were then promptly made part of the glorious french empire
once i got Desmond as a lucky Personal Union.
Vassals need help from their overlord. You gotta build buildings for them and be careful not to divert their trade or you'll destroy their income and cause them to have no troops. Learned that all the hard way.

I did build stuff in its lands (had spare money) and paid for 20% of its army maintenance (I think it's 20%, but I'd have to check)

The AI builds troops only when you need to fight it, not as your friend
I love playing in this region and form the stupidest nusantara ever, last time i created a Monster that blocked all the trade in Malacca and i make more than 1k ducats a month then from there u can go whatever way u want for example i went full colonial and started talking africa for myself

Since you are forming Malaya and potentially including Sumatra in that, you could ‘connect’ the Sumatran Tiger with the African Lion by conquering a part of Africa too 🤔
