The comments are much too negative. I especially like Florez and Fisichella. I think all of these guys know what they are doing and had or have amazing vocal technique. Remember studio recordings do not reflect the realities of live performance.
Bravo, amazing selection of arias, however, a bit surprised Semiramide and Idreno's "La Speranza Piu Soave" was missing. And yeah, the modern scenography on old operas makes my gut twist and turn. Saw Guillaume Tell in Milano (April 2024) and it was horrible, the ballet parts were booed beyond belief.

@@ritapapiri i know what a bel canto technique is. Callas and Sutherland use it in everything they sing. Im only a professionally trained organist and accompanist but eben i know good technique from bad
