Yes it is. Most bands can't do it. It's just not the same. Remember motley tried without Vince, didn't work well. It's not gonna work well this time.

I have always been a ratt fan, hearing that Percy backs up Mick makes me happy, crue can jam it where the sun don't shine, I recently started changing the channel when a crue song comes on

Most people don’t purchase physical media anymore they stream so there’s that. In this environment it’s tough for any band to sell records or CD’s unless your Taylor Swift. Gotta give Crue props for putting out new music. How good the recording is without Mick remains to be seen.

I think you can replace a band member with another and still find success. Clearly it happens a lot. The way they went about it, however, is utter bullshit.

I believe Mick has a physical condition that kept him from touring. That would make sense. Lynyrd Skynyrd is still touring without any of the original band members left, so there is that.

It's not motley Crue without mick if anyone should have been fired it should have been Vince he just doesn't have it anymore plain and simple as for a new album I won't even consider buying it
You mention Van Halen having success when replacing David Lee Roth with Sammy Hagar ,,,, but Van Halen did not find success when replacing Sammy with Gary Cherone.
Van Hagar was not Van Halen! The sound was a completely different sound! Technically they did not find success as the same band/music that they had with Dave!

Its not that Motley Crue replaced Mick Mars with Johny 5...its the music that they are trying to produce these days just simply SUCKS!!! PERIOD!!! Especially without Mick Lol I don't blame Johnny 5 because honestly hes just a puppet on a payroll for them Who's probably going to jump ship if this new music isn't successful because I really don't see him tarnishing his career for a bunch of oldie but goodie rock Gods trying to make a comeback 😮 Sad but true at least IMO 😊
Mick didn't want to or can't tour anymore. What are they supposed to do? They got a great replacement guitar player and are forging on. That's what most bands do.

They had a tour called The END . They should have quit after that . If they wanted to keep on going they shouldn't have made it seem like they were retiring .
I don’t understand what the problem is. It was Mick’s decision to stop touring because it was too hard for him and I completely understand that but if the other guys want to keep doing it and there is obviously a demand for them then Tommy Vince and Nikki should be allowed to make the decision to keep going. Mick is wanting paid for not touring. That’s like me quitting my job but still wanting them to pay me. As far as mick getting paid for royalties and his likeness and such then he should be paid for those things but him wanting to get paid for touring yet not touring just don’t make any sense to me

John 5 is a great guitarist. I don't really like the new song, unfortunately. The lyrics seem outdated the guitar solo is bitchen, but it sounds out dated.

I don’t understand why people just don’t understand that Nikki, Tommy and Vince are old has beens. This last song proves that they just don’t have it anymore. They aren’t that talented. John five is good with his guitar but he is in the wrong band. It’s that simple. They also especially Nikki have gaslighted and lied his ass off so karma is coming around and most of their fan base is gone! So you have millions of dollars, don’t be greedy, just Retire!

Yes sometimes it works. I remember the heat Zak Wylde took replacing Randy, and now Zak is legendary. It takes time but fans get over yourselves already.
Zak did not replace Randy! Zak replaced Jake E. Lee! Zak is also known as the third best Ozzy had! Legendary with Zak, NO! Zak does not have that status like Randy & other greats!

Man, get your sh*t right! Stephen is & has been touring as his own with his solo band! Bobby hasn’t been using the Ratt name for years due to legal issues brought on about a decade ago now! When Stephen is booked, he is booked under his own name!
When Fakley Crue was doing stadiums who was with them? You had Def Leppard, Poison & Joan Jett! Where are they touring now? The answer is State Fairs & other small venues! Just because Stephen told the truth doesn’t mean you hate on the guy! Mick was only retiring from the road, NOT the band! The other three are the ones who kicked him out!
One thing that can’t be denied though boy, Stephen actually plays all of his shows live & Fakley Crue doesn’t! Also, all the members of Ratt do remember recording their own instruments where as Nikki doesn’t!
@@user-zq1px9yb7g- You’re correct about everything except one thing to consider. State Fairs are still huge draws and high revenue gigs. There’s no doubt Crue will still be making big 💰 money touring with John B otherwise they wouldn’t be doing it. People are still willing to pay the premium ticket prices even if it’s really not the same without Mick. The whole concept is to put on a giant spectacle of a rock show (which they do) and many folks who buy the tickets unfortunately don’t care whether the band uses backing tracks or who the guitar player is - they just want to be entertained!
Let’s just call it an unsophisticated audience… 😂
