actually the best way is in a drawned ruins, this place is located at the north of the forest of cernunno, if you go there, you are always gonna find sharks swimming all around... so bring a flintlock or rifle and your boat, and good luck with your hunt because the sharks in there are kind of strong but its guarenteed that in there you are gonna find sharks very quickly
I tried this but the sharks swim away
This is because there is a feature that allows random fish that u can catch to spawn in that area which is purely for visual effect. Sharks are one of the included fishes in this feature so not all sharks you see will be the ones you can kill. Ones you can kill don't run away and show a health bar above them when damaged.

i dont have a problem finding sharks i have a problem killing them. im going warlock so melee/magic, and i have ice magic. so i physically cannot attack the sharks, because melee moves blow, and ice water just freezes instantly and doesnt work underwater. my only options are guns, which just. suck. i cant hit then even once and id need to shoot them like 6-7 times
Why dont you use canon fist
step 1. get a gun
step 2. get some ammos
step 3. find a shark
step 4. shoot the shark
step 5. realize you have no stats on weapons and try to swim away but got eaten by the shark anyway
use a bow, it scales on power stat

if you are a war lock just spam crash, and shot on them and you should be good to go, otherwise, get the gun and keep some distance.
honestly my luck is the worst i have no problem killing sharks its just I can’t find any shark all I can find is white eyes bruh and megalodons but they just 2 shot me 😭

you can spawn a guaranteed shark by bleeding in sea and to get bleed easily just explode a gunpowder barrel near yourself
I've been siting in the water for the past 30 mins and not even a fishing shark came.
When i didnt have the quest i killed 3 sharks….😢
Sharks are everywhere now so finding some isn't the issue. The issue is they kill you in 2 hits and you can't dodge them and attack at the same time because they're too aggressive.
yea im just gonna get thermal fist instead. Ive spent 4 hours doing this method AND going back and forth to frostmill and I cant even find one single shark. Vetex needs to fix shark spawns. I dont have the patience for this.😅

Theres a different way to find them look for those icebergs usually theres a shark or megalodon there
