The techniques for using the 5 Volt Reference Simulator are varied. In essence, you simply disconnect the 5 volt reference close to the ECM connector, or as close as possible. You may have to cut the wire, then splice it back together again. The idea is to substitute the faulty 5 volt reference from the ECM, with the 5 Volt Reference Simulator output.
As you saw before, the 5 Volt Reference Simulator gadget has an internal 1 Mega Ohm resistor. This allows any sensor to make use of the 5 Volt Reference Simulator as if it were the ECM itself. Here the different scenarios for connecting the 5 Volt Reference Simulator.
Scenario one: Attach the 5 Volt Reference Simulator to the vehicles electrical system. Disconnect the ECM provided 5 volt reference, and ...

I appreciate that and thanks so much for watching. yes, all my books also have a DVD to go along with it. I assume that Amazon sell then in the UK as well. I know I have tons of customers in the UK. If you can't find them on Amazon give us a call. I'll message you with the number, which is also posted on our website. I'll get the DVDs to you manually by mail. We'll also be turning this series into DVD after it wraps up. Thanks so much for watching.
very good go ahead
awesome videos! could i potentially wire in a potentiometer to this circuit for back feeding 0.5V-4.5v to generate a signal voltage to condemn sensors? thanks!!!
Thanks, keep posting...
Just Great. Another brilliant idea.
Do you know where i can purchase your DVDs in the UK? I've looked in Amazon UK but could only find your books, some of which i will be buying but i thought i saw some DVDs advertised somewhere and i like the idea of having a DVD to go with a book as it makes it easier to sink in.
Please keep these great videos coming.
Many thanks. Joe
can the simulator connect right to the signal wire ?
great video
Thanks
