I had the same issue. As crazy as it sounds, it was my phone that caused the problem. First, if you unpair the phone on the radio AND on the phone, the issue with the radio rebooting should stop. Then if you pair the phone and choose (DO NOT SYNC CONTACTS) it will work. Ultimately, I had to wait for an iOS update and then repaired and it all works fine now. Faulty radio head unit or faulty head unit software OR faulty phone OS. It's hard to know who to blame Toyota or Apple. Hope this helps.
Hello. I have been having the same issue with the radio in my 2015 Tundra. Basically what has been happening is there are times I will get in the truck and start it up it won’t come on right away. It may take a minute or longer to come on. When it doesn’t come on the side mirrors switch doesn’t work along with the charging ports. I have taken it to the dealership numerous times, changed the radio three times and to this day still having the same issues. The dealership conclusion is I need a new wiring harness. I haven’t gotten around to get it done as yet (the total cost of repairs is $2500.00). I hope to get it done in the near future
Paul, thank you for sharing your experience. I am seeing the same occurrence in my 2014 Tundra also. This is the second video I've seen that voiced the same issue of having the problem with multiple radios. My warranty is up and I don't want to pay for a new radio without knowing for certain that this will resolve the issue. I am appalled that the dealerships perform such deplorable work. I hope they are able to resolve your issue. If you do find a solution, could you please share it?
I actually was able to fix the problem by changing my Iphone. I had just gotten a new Iphone a month before purchasing this vehicle. I noticed my phone was not actually a new one because it had some information on it already. So i took it to the local Apple Store and told them what the problem was and they just swapped the phone out for a brand new one out the box. As soon as I got back to my vehicle I paired it and it worked flawlessly and have never stopped. So, it could possibly be your phone and a software update could solve the problem or changing your phone could also. Someone on this feed said the dealers have a software update for it also. Hope this helps.
Haven't seen the reboot issue. Wish that was my problem now and a phone unpairing would resolve said issue. My radio screen just turned white. Just a bright white blank screen that stays ON even when the car is turned OFF. This is awful. It's one thing for the radio to be dead. Another entirely for the radio to kill the car battery..... I disconnected the battery hoping to force a restart. Didn't help. If there is a software update I'd love to apply that as that may square me but I bet the system has to be working to apply via usb. Any ideas? Please help. Ugh.
Hey i did an update on this issue. What might be the problem is with your cell phone. You might have to sap it for another one, that worked for my issue.
I have a 2015 Toyota Corolla and this is happening to me also. I am thinking that it happens when a wifi signal is lost. I say that because wifi is the only thing that would make me believe that all the features of the radio would work. Example nothing except an internet connection could give current weather. Mine happens once a day so I haven't pushed too hard to figure it out but I would like to so I am going to do further research.

I have the exact same problem in my 2014 tundra. Sometime it freezes where I can't change station or even change the volume. They phone charger will even stop when the radio start tripping until it resets itself. Toyota won't do anything for me because they don't see the problem happening when I try to explain it to them. I'm very disappointed. Hope there's a solution.
I have the same problem on my 2014 Tundra. Entune is a piece of garbage brand. I would get an aftermarket radio but not all the buttons on the steering wheel will be compatible. It just keeps rebooting. The only thing that will fix this is a class action law suit.
Lots of replies saying that swapping out phones fixes this. Well, my radio does this and I don't have a phone paired, so I don't think that's the issue.
Mine went off/ dead on 2014 thought its fuse or something took it to car toys told me i need a new head unit. 2 days later came back on by itself. Worked fine for 3 min, and boom. Dead again 😬

Having the same issue but I cannot change my phone. Do you think unpairing and re-pairing the phone might work?

How is it the dealerships fault?
I had to unpair my iPhone from my 2014 tundra. Radio kept freezing then turning on/off. All is good since unpairing iPhone...
Same in issue in my 2014 Highlander. Also will freeze for a bit then reset itself.
I solved my issue by swapping my Iphone out for another one.
I’m having the same issue on a 2015 Tundra, they changed my radio twice. It continues to do the same thing.
Do you use an apple watch? My 2014 tundra radio stopped rebooting when I put my watch in airplane mode while driving.

It happens to my 1 month old 2019 Tundra couple times already. Do you still have the issue?

Mine started doing it last week.

And, the maintenance reminder will never shut off.
