  • Here's a video for Gothika on how I set up for a reading, what I usually have with me and the general atmosphere of my professional readings.

      GOTHIKA I hope it covered the things you were wondering about. I don't feel as if I'm the best to answer this because my style isn't like most of the readings I've actually received from others but it's the basics for how I read.

    Great tips V! Really enjoyed it. And loved how you spoke about tarot. Feeling just the same about tarot's role xx

    This must be one of my favorite tarot videos of all times!!! (With no fancy backdrop or set up and with you knocking over the tripod a couple of times :D ) THANK YOU VERONICA, such useful advice and so very generous of you to share your own experience

      Pauline Fazzioli Ha! That means a lot to me, really, plus it made me laugh. These are the videos I like as well because I remember what it was like when I was just starting to learn and then just starting to read for others so I like to give practical advice or at least my personal experiences. As for the other, yeah maybe I'll take the time to learn how to edit my videos or at least add a thumbnail that doesn't have me pulling a dumb ass face but I don't see it happening anytime soon, so I'm glad you don't mind. 😈💜💜💜

    i liked when you said "i had to know the rules before i could break the rules". i first started dabbling in tarot around May of last year, but then stopped for a long while. now I'm getting back on the horse and trying to learn. this time i think I'll stick to it. i feel like this is the right time in my life to start including tarot into my daily life. I'm still studying the traditional meanings of the cards, but i can't wait for the cards to evolve and become personal for me! I'll continue to strive for patience haha

      Geekella I wrote a response but it disappeared so ... I think that's awesome! The more you put the cards into actual practice the sooner a personal connection will be made with each of the cards, a lot of times it has been the surrounding context that helped with the more "troublesome" cards. I'm a bit more dogmatic than most in my approach but my best advice is to pick one system that resonates with you so you don't get overwhelmed, use your journal to put down anything that everything that connects to each of the cards and use the cards as often as you can. ❤️❤️❤️

    This was a fun video! :) I love that you keep it simple actually. Sometimes when I see people's setups on instagram I'm like "Wtf you decorate for half an hour before actually starting!?" lol ;)

      Tarot by Ania You always crack me up!! Thank you for that, I had to laugh because I think the same thing but I was still doubting myself when I posted this, as if I was over simplifying my process but it is what it is. 😈💜🔮

      veronica jude Hehe ;) If I were to read for someone at home, and it meant as a more serious healing session, I'd probably bring out the candles and incense etc but in a bar or at a bachelorette party it just seems like a hassle...

      Tarot by Ania Absolutely! Depending on the reading and who it's for I've gone all out before and I actually love setting up a space for a reading, I can "witchy it up" with the best of them, I just don't do it as a rule.

      veronica jude Right? It's more like a bonus lol. Especially for people who come from a more psychological place of using the tarot it's really a small part of it I think.

      Tarot by Ania I soooo agree!

    Thank you for sharing your fantastic insights when setting up for a reading. I've heard of Tarot parties before but I had no idea as to what goes on at a Tarot party. Keeping it simple is often the best approach. No need to always have all the pizazz (even though having pizazz is awesome too!) when doing readings.

      Norse Pagan Tarot Witch I agree! Especially at the parties, it can be a lot of fun but it's fast paced and there is already enough going on! Thank you for watching! 💜🔮

    Thanks V, You've got me very interested in the MotherPeace spread, I don't have that deck. Is it 9 or ten cards in total? I think I'll get the mini version, and use it as you do with majors on majors.
    I prefer doing very interactive readings, but I don't know where to find clients etc. I may start on line readings, but those would be so different, and not so interactive. Great video!

      @veronicajude  Před 7 lety

      ShyFox It's 10 cards but I will pull one out two more cards for the outcome if a major doesn't come up. I love this spread whether I'm using the Motherpeace deck or not but I'll look for my Motherpeace deck and make a quick video on it for sure. I'm glad you asked because I have been wanting to do one and I just keep forgetting! ❤️

    Great video!! Do you play any tarot games at your tarot parties??

    • @veronicajude
      @veronicajude  Před 7 lety

      Miss Chiff It depends on how many people there are, sometimes I have to get right to the readings but there are a couple ice breaker games I like with both tarot or oracle decks. I do incorporate an oracle deck in the readings sometimes as well. The parties have a very light hearted vibe but as you know things can get deep in a heartbeat so you have to be ready to switch gears easily, I think that's true with readings in general but it can be a little bit of a shock to the client who can be blindsided with a powerful reading.

      K Cris Thank you, my friend! 😘 watching it over it doesn't seem like video-worthy information though, my readings aren't as bland as I make them sound!!!
