excelent Gurujee. I am from Bangladesh. Here is no good dhrupod singer. but my grandfather and father always told to learn dhrupod because it is the gist of all calssical music. But 50 years I have to learn khayal still now I don't know what is "soroj" what is "rishab" ? most unfortunate I am ! !! If you in Bangladesh! Amar pronam roilo. I am a muslim lady.

This is such an amazing performance! Shuddh Kalyan is rarely performed when it comes to Dhrupad, but Panditji sang it with such grace and gravity at the same time

That was my first reaction usdin, jab Uday ji Durga gane gaye...
I was sitting there, on that chair with a coffee and wondering, riyaz chordu
I am moved everytime ge takes that do saptak wala gamak thing or whenever he comes and just simply stands on sa
Ekbar, most probably in Drover Lane, sunte sunte mujhe achanak laga ki vo kharaj sa ka aaawaz gale se aaraha hai ki it's the harmonies from taanpura playing tricks....
I couldn't even different his voice from the 4th string Of that taanpura
