He ghosted her, and I feel like ghosting makes things VERY hard to get over, especially for someone who questions everything as deeply as Taylor

Clearly Joe ignored her enough so she let him go before splitting, and she felt so hard for Matty because he love bomb her and promised all what Joe didn’t. She was vulnerable.

Not sure if she really had a relationship with Matty. That was more of companionship and probably helped her write most of TTPD songs. You can hear a lot of the 1975 influence in her new album
She would go back to matty in a heartbeat. He is British and would have hated the Taylor swift machine and circus . I think they circled each other for years flirting but timing wasn’t right. I beleve he thought he had feelings for her but couldn’t handle the abuse and scrutiny

I don't know how anyone can listen to that song and say "she would go back to that man” , "she would go back to him in a heartbeat” blah blah blah… 'cuz Have we listened to the same song?? @@blinkoncereveluv4evah978 but you don't write a song like that unless you still have VERY strong feelings. Plus on other tracks she indicates more of an understanding of why he left (her nuttier fans hating him, threatening him, trying to ruin his life etc.)
@@yorkshiregirl992 Maybe she wrote all that as a way of moving on/ or moving forward and finally closing that chapter of that period/era of her life… Taylor herself said "This period/era of the author's (herself) life is now over, the chapter closed and boarded up.” She let out everything and all so she can moved past/be free of it. 🙂🙃🙂

I think she was really disappointed because he just... ghosted her, instead of staying and fighting for the relationship.
Imagine releasing a tirade about your ex, who is an immature edge lord, while being with another man. I am sure that giant( forgot his name) would love the months of deciphering lyrics about how her ex fucked, what he said, what she said, what they did on Thursday, how they broke up, etc
she also stated that this chapter is closed, period. And even within the course of the songs, it becomes very clear that she would not run to him anymore. But whatever, in the end we do not know and these are songs, not testaments.
