I seen the warning about the unload and completely forgot about it, which is why I'm here watching your video. Thanks for reminding me I'm slow. Great video by the way, short and to the point.
What an evolution! That much work to load 60 rounds. I think I'll stick with my Pmag 30s and 40s. I have a fast easy way to load a Pmag 30. I remove the floorplate and let the follower and spring unload tension, dropping the spring into my lap. I then load up the rounds normally against reduced spring tension. When I'm 5 rounds short of a full mag, I flip the mag over, compress the spring, reinstall the floor plate, and then load the last 5 rounds. This saves tons of wear and tear on your fingers and takes less time.
@@MrJp990 Sure, but if I have loose ammo and empty magazines, I'll skip loading the stripper clips with ammo and just load the magazines directly. Loading strippers is for when all my magazines are full and I'm still cranking out more ammo off the Dillon.
If you are right handed, place the drum on a flat surface, cradle the drum in the left palm and use your left thumb to stroke the lever away from you. Load with your right hand.
I don't own any but I just think these are cool. I miss my SAW. This would have been great for my SAW when I was in the Army as a back up to my 200rd drums.
I can only load the stem full of rounds. Releasing the spring never loads rounds into the drum to free up more space into the stem. I followed your other video to see if something was stuck inside like a round, but it's clear. I've never fired a round from this thing. I'll call tech support later. Somebody needs to create a loader for this thing. It's too hard on the thumb.
Finally understood the spring lever. I had to not only pull it, but move it back in the slot to give it more gear to pull on. If that makes any sense. I'm sorry I bought this thing. My thumb will not be right for days.
Am I the only person on the planet that's gotten a round jammed in their drum? anyone know if I should just disassemble with the round still inside or is the spring going to go apeshit the second I do?
Yeah but you didn't load all 60 rounds in this video. We're you able to do it? I tried loading all 60 rounds in my new drum yesterday. And I was only able to load 57. I'm hoping it was me and not the drum itself. Maybe spring has to be broken in? On a good note, after loading it with 57 rounds, I ran that thing in full auto with four separate bursts and it functioned without any issues. That was a rush. I'm going to try loading that thing with 60 rounds again today and see if I'm able to do it. I struggled with that 57th round yesterday.
57 is all I got! I cranked the bitch back and forth each time for 1 round all the way to 45 rounds. After that I would crank it 3-4 times each round till I got to 57. I spent 30 minutes on the last 3 rounds could never get past 57.
Your not rite about "the only time they jam up is during unloading". The first one i bought broke while loading because of that lever. I got about 20 rounds in it and then it jammed i kept trying to load more rounds into it thinking it was just getting tighter and poof broken. I am about to load a new one and see if it does the same thing. I would NOT recommend this mag to anyone at this point because its the hardest mag i have ever had to load. NOT WORTH THE MONEY OR THE HEADACHE!!
First dozen or so are easy, after that that spring is harder and harder to compress. They should have made an slip on extension to give more leverage !
thanks for keeping this simple and not turning an under 3 min vid into a 17:45 vid. bout to take mine out for the first time tomorrow!
Thanks for the video my wife just brought me mine for Father’s Day, that’s y I put a ring on it. Love the drum gonna test it out today
I paid $134 for just the drum damm great deal u got man 👍
$146 last week. My rectum is still sore
...so, I'm NOT alone .
Raul TV me too
Worth it though. 60 round drum then to 40/30 round mags is the way to go.
$119 for me

Thanks for this. I just scored a Spikes AR15 with 3-30 round mags, a 40 rounder, the pmag 60, and a double drum 100 rounder.
Quick and simple, I love your tutorial.
That was a great deal you got! Just received mine today from Magpul just the drum was $129.99 .
Just got mine thanks for the video also I'm jealous of the deal you got I missed out for sure
Awesome and excellent quick instruction. Greatly appreciated. PEACE
Just got mine and watched this video! Excellent vid
Not a 1 hour video like these other famous channels! I just subscribed 💪🏾
Hey appreciate the help I couldn't figure out the lever thing first drum mag and i felt like a rookie haha

Pmag 30 and 40s aren’t even that hard to load 😂😂
@@MrJp990 One at a time, yes...but when I load magazines, it's always at least ten to load at once. That's a thumb workout.
@@Turboy65 Oh, do you use stripper clips?

This should be a template for all how to videos on CZcams
Thanx for the tutorial. loaded my pmag for 9mm, was kinda a workout.
Great short and informative video 👍
Thank you! Right to the point!!!
that was so easy and direct thanks
Thanks bro, your video was helpful
Great video 📸 thanks for the upload

Thank you! D-60 BABY
Does the maglula speed loader/unloader work to unload this mag?
that music clean as hell
Thanks man. I had real problems loading up the drum, but this helped me.
thanks, big help.
Wow that’s a killer deal
Dope video thank you
Great review thanks bub
Thank You for the video

Does this mean it turns your ar into a single stack
Good vid
Thanks!

Great vid even better deal I paid 149
Thanks man.
Is the ratchet on yours a little bit wobbly and loose…the crank latch or whatever it’s called
Better design than the promag 65 round drum 😢
Thanks for info
Thanks
Are those Black Tip?
Nice

I’ve had the same issue I can only fit about 54 or 55 in mine.

Nice video, you sound like Anton Chigurh from no country for old men😂
My wrists disliked this video.
So, I guess you can’t use a MagLula with this?
anyone have trouble getting all 60 rounds in? brand new only taking 57 at the moment
That spring gets tight I could only get 53 before my thumb gave up ! Not sure yet if it will get easier with time.
@@stevebrymer3514 these are just my thoughts but if i paid pver $100 for a 60-rd magazine, it should load all 60 otherwise i got jipped lol
I know these are amazing drums, but it's just my O CD that kills me that they only feed off of one side.😂😂
Is your lever hecka wobbly?
Nick F mine is wobbly
Are those M855A1s?!
Imagine if they did this with the promag drums instead of having the hand crank system,,
When it reaches 50 it feels like can’t take mors
What a deal mine was like 160$
I paid 55 brand new. Which is awesome. I don't ever buy mags used.
I love the drum but damn my thumb hurts
Great video but you gotta fix your leaky toilet I hear in the background....it's costing you ammo $$$.

loading is to cumbersome for my taste.
Whoa! LOL!
That running water makes me have to take a piss..
Cheaper than dirt is not Cheaper than dirt anymore. 160.99
That handle is so stiff i really don’t understand how you load it so easy
First dozen or so are easy, after that that spring is harder and harder to compress. They should have made an slip on extension to give more leverage !
I came here in hopes of a way to speed load the drum mag to find out you can only hand feed it :´(
nah you can use a striplula too to load it. I bought my drum a few days ago with a striplula and I would never load this thing by hand.
Thumbs hurt like a bitch after 60
I fucking hate loading mine xD
It’s 2020 and I just paid $120 for the drum 😢
I paid 140 for a 100 drum 😬
Why would you ever unload a magazine unless you were firing the rounds. That was weak sister talk.
CACA
Got 2 Pmag m3 30round and this D-60 for $107 shipped last week. From brownells. Think right now they are $90
