- Today I'm playing the brand new PS5 exclusive 'Returnal' developed by Housemarque. This is a bit different to my usual Let's Plays - you guys are getting mostly raw gameplay footage here, so expect a lot of dying, not knowing what's going on, and confusion.
We start in the Overgrown Ruins biome of Atropos, there's danger afoot, lasers, explosions, aliens, you name it baby! We've got it!
This game is really very COOL and to be honest I didn't realise it was a roguelike game until I started as I wanted to go into the game completely fresh. SO, damn, egg on my face right? Whatever. On this channel we play anything and we play it with gusto.

I remember being just as confused maybe even more than her🙈 at first it’s really frustrating that you have to build yourself up again and again, but later when you have more stuff unlocked and got use to the game then it became a bit addictive to me, found myself playing for hours every time I played
The haptics on the dualsense controller is my fav feature. Like it feels sooo good

The first step to getting better at this game is to actually read what the game is telling you, thankfully the game has a menu where you can read up on any tutorial messages you might have missed
This game pretty much brought me to the brink of insanity, definitely one of the hardest games I have played, but really enjoyed it, has great atmosphere. I watched your playthroughs after finishing it and continue to think of the greatness this game brings, for sure in my top 10 of all time favorites. Keep up the good work. Subbed.
The atmosphere of this was greatly enhanced by watching the end going through a car wash 😂

Just found your channel looking around and listening to the Hyperion theme which I always loved after watching Returnal win best action game at the Game Awards. Glad I did find it.
This game, despite its few hiccups is a fucking masterpiece. I love it so much, probably because it has so many similarities to both the Alien and Metroid franchises. It's great seeing Ripley and Samus Aran fused together as Selene but she has her own unique twist which is great. Not to mention all the lore and gameplay elements that both share. Atmosphere, isolation, exploration, combat, boss fights. All phenomenal in Returnal.

Watching this from the start after you already know the whole story... wow. Just wow. The subtle details they threw in hit so hard once you know where it's actually going. These people made a good game.

Something about Selene's movement made me immediately think of Control 😂 And while Selene definitely has the speed, no one does the prancing jump quite like Jesse.
So, the game starts with Selene not being able to remember anything, but finding corpses of her predecessors, but then later being able to remember after all. Now I'm wondering if that was done simply for the benefit of the player, or if there is an explanation for it. Putting money on the second one. And holy, this game is absolutely gorgeous. Maybe one day they will release it for PC, too, that would be awesome!
Life gets lots easier in this game if you actually read stuff and dont just adhd out of it.
Returnal IMO, the best (so far)PS5 exclusive! I platinumed it, so I'm going to thoroughly enjoy your playthrough.

This game is one of my absolute favorites. Mainly because the entire soundtrack seems to be based on DON'T FEAR THE REAPER by Blue Oyster Cult.

Got this turning up tomorrow, super excited to play it after watching this! If you’re after something similar gameplay wise you should definitely check out Hades on switch, it’s got a similar “rogue-like” central mechanic but MUCH less brutal 👍 looking forward to the next episode! 😱

Tip: explore the first biome as much as you can and farm obolite, use a carbine against the first boss and try getting a max silphium vial in the fabricator....

I know this is old and you've finished the game, but goodness, I do hope that you eventually learned to read and follow the tutorials as you played this... 'cause if not... oof. Would've made things a LOT easier for you if you did.
