This video will teach the basics about different types of triplet notes in music, for the piano, and really for any other instrument or voice. This video will go in detail about all triplet notes including triplet 8th notes, (triplet eighth notes) triplet quarter notes, triplet half notes, and triplet 16th notes (triplet sixteenth notes). You will also see real musical examples and learn how to count triplet notes. The triplet note is another type of note value. This video talks in detail about different types of triplet notes in music, but doesn't really touch on the other type of note values or rests. Very helpful but there is one other case you might have covered. I was looking at blues song and it had an eight triplet paired with a sixteenth triplet. I couldn't make sense of it until I realized it was like 3 sixteenth triplet with the middle one skipped giving it that blues swing.

Good post.But why is a quarter note shown in white and a half note in black. !! I couldn't understand ...
Thanks, it’s just what I was able to find at the time with the programs that I had. White and black has no difference in meaning. In music it’s always black.
