Is God Mad? - Romans

  • God is full of love, right? Right! That’s the good news. And Paul gets back to that theme and develops it fully in the chapters ahead. But first, there’s some bad news. Like a powerful prosecuting attorney, Paul made the case as to why we need the good news of Christ. God’s grace is necessary because of our guilt. In this section, we learn about the wrath of God-an attribute that many people can’t wrap their heads (and hearts) around.
This teaching is from our series Heart & Soul: A Study through Romans with Skip Heitzig from Calvary Church.

I don’t believe I have heard a Preacher that seems to have truly nailed it. About everything. Faithfully preaching the Word of God. And I am a Berean.

Love the notion of" permissible wrath". The fact that God abandons sinners by giving them all they want. Means giving up on them. That's something that's sad, God giving his children up because they do not want to obey.

As always, a great teaching of the Word! Sadly, I had clicked on 2 others (other teaching of Romans 1:18-32) & in the comments there were several that tried to say that these verses did not mean what they clearly mean.

@@CollagenExpert If a sermon starts with Romans 1: 18-32, that's a red flag telling me these verses are going to be taken out if their context. Most Bible scholars/theologians outside of Evangelical schools don't see the reading of the so-called "clobber verses" as a general condemnation of homosexuality, but people like the OP don't listen to them, they only listen to "preachers" like Heitzig who scratches their itchy ears.

doubt about reference John 3:26 (It is not the John Baptist)

  • @debunkingthefundamentalist

I still gave a like for the content as it is a good video. But here is the thing. Here is my take as I told my own people once in a recent vid. God has no right to be angry at anything. Including those who don't believe. Think about this God. IF everything about him is true in the Bible, he creates the world then gives us tremendous scientifically minded brains to disprove Genesis. Then miracles happened about every day in the Old Testament and New Testament but yet there is not one single provable miracle today nor from anyone you know as far back as their ancestry can remember. There are exactly zero eyewitness accounts of the resurrection of Jesus. No, those stories at best were compiled decades after the fact and many five to ten decades after the fact with no idea who wrote them. That is urban legend 101 with a largely illiterate people at the time. He gives Doubting Thomas a pass when right in front of him and Tommy still doesn't believe but gives us not even a remote sign yet sends us to hell for questioning the whole thing? That would be an evil God in my book. Cheers, DCF

Funny how bible predicts all of the future correctly and people still don't believe it

  • @inYTbio_SiteLINKs2Verses_Bruv

Not what Paul's koine Greek means, but you do you, just don't preach it to others. And if you delete this comment, you can't complain about "Christian Free Speech" being censored when you do the very thing. If truth is on your side, stop deleting comments because our God isn't one of fear!
