The neuroboost items are NOT HIDDEN! They clearly show on the face. Your character had a hat and the face was not zomomed in.Ryujin store near tranquilitea also sells them. Also, forget the basket in Red mile. Don't use it! Just put on a chameleon item and be hidden. Far easier. Must be hidden with chameleon armor and no one cares if you steal while invisible
Yes, when you walk through town, people comment on you Neuroamps and neurocomps. They are clearly quite visible.
Came to say this lol
Yep - I pickpocketed the well electro guys key instead of playing ups -
And he let me open the door and clean his shop literally right before his nose...
Also being camelion is part 3 or 4 of the stealth skill 🤷♀️
* Also becoming a ranger didnt get me the offical ranger basecap
- Instead going full texas red on small businesses somehow did 🎉
Also, after the first time I ran the mile left and came back the credit sticks were gone
If you set all your ships reactor points to zero on each system , your ship is in stealth mode.
You can get within 500m of enemies before they see you.
With just pips on engine you can get to 2000m without being seen. But closer than that lower engine pips to two. You can get within 500m.
Moment you start powering up systems (especially weapons systems) you will be detected!
Pro’s - you can get behind anyone or even enter hostile space and not be forced into a space battle so you can grav jump out the system or land on a planet
Con’s - if you go for lethal force, you need to be quick assigning reactor ‘pips’ to maintain your advantage. (Although I’ve never tried slowly adding shield pips)
Flying into debris will cause hull damage with shields off.
Great tip, I'm going to try this one out for sure.
Thing is, those Neuroamps that boost intimidation or diplomacy don't GIVE you those perks. You need to put points into those perks to utilize the boost from this item.
Obviously :DD
Another overlooked 'vendor' is all the civilian ships in space. If you hail them, menu option 1 is to trade. Their credits range from 1,200 to 2,400 in my experience - just enough to chip away at your maxed out cargo space.
So true, dither you can hail them around planets and moons
The Alien genetic material are also used in the high end pharmaceutical recipes like super nova heart and blackhole heart.
Wow, those are so high level that I've never even *heard* of them. I've saved up all my AGM and am currently upping my pharmaceutical skills. Thanks for the heads-up.
That spot you showed to sell extra items. That's the bottom floor of Ryujin. Also right there beside Tranquilatea is the weapon store and gear store. They actually make the neuroamps and have them in stock.
Thank you I will have a look
@@WombatGaming you can start the Ryujin faction quest line there as well. Great for the stealthy style players. It's long and fun. You even get a top tier skill point and stealth clothing stuff during all.
@@WombatGaming actually the he Ryujin line would make a great video! 😏😏
Well, 500 damage resistance translates to 50% damage mitigation. If you get some Superior armor to total about 350 damage resistance and then use the GM to reach 850 that should reach the cap of 85% damage resistance. But if you have Chemistry 3 you can also combine GM with Caelumite and Mercury for the specialized Heart synthesis drugs. Those can give something like +100% power regen and +300 damage resistance for 5 minutes. For general gun fighting though Panopticon with Boudicca still works wonders.
Yes true good tip if you want to max out Chemistry
@@WombatGaming Also genetic material weigh 1 kg each. That is a lot of weight to be carrying around especially early in the game.
A good tip is to give your Companion a good weapon, but then take that same weapon and fully mod it and give it back to your Companion. Kudos plus if that weapon also matches their skill type for weapon skills which buffs the weapon even more.
If you equipped 2 items with chameleon perk you can pick up most items like the cred sticks on tables without doing basket trick. You will be completely invisiable and not detected as long as you dont move character.
True 👍
Watch out whenever you do Tip #8 because any items you drop on the floor will disappear if you change 'home ship' I had this happen to me a few times and it's pretty annoying!
Yes works best at an outpost
They go to cargo but if you drop too many it starts deleting, im guessing based on what your computer can handle
I had an #iykyk moment when you were picking the lock during the nap segment. No worries - I use it too. 😂
Neuroamps can also be purchased in the lobby of Ryujin Tower and at the Depot in the Key
If i remember correctly, these items are also sold on the Key (crimson fleet in Kryx)
Haven't done that quest yet I will get there some time lol
Thanx for all your tips, I may not get a huge amount of time to play all at once & your advice has helped me pick up where I've left off w/out losing my mind trying to remember what/how to regain my momentum. Thanx again!!! Much appreciated & great job!!!
Glad to help!
When changing the name of an item or ship, you can just press the left arrow key to place the cursor at the beginning of the title so you can just add a dash etc. without deleting the whole former title.
Tip 6 was both new to me AND very helpful. Thanks!!
Glad it was helpful!
You should ALWAYS pick up weapons (guns anyway), even if you don't want the weapon, they will have ammo in them, loot the gun, get free ammo, which is weightless and worth money. Also unless it's really junk, early early in the playthrough, you can mod the weapon and possibly double the value, making almost any gun worth selling, until you have so much money you don't need anymore.
I'm at the point where I have more money than I will ever need and ammo as well.
I need this problem...lol@@WombatGaming
In that menu when looking at a look container you can just press O on PC and then it will go over to you inventory and then you can just press be on whatever item you want to compare like that instead of heading out of the menu.
Thanks for the tip
My version of Tip #6 is that i wipe out the name given by the mods and quality of the items and just add the prefix "Custom" and when I'm storing or selling, I juat watch for that prefix to know what not to sell.
Im suprise no one has recommended the gal bank quests. They are pretty entertaining and the reward is decent. Pretty easy creds, especially have manipulation. So far ive had 3 varients. One go and kill, one go and convince/ kill and one hostage rescue.
Those quests bug out for a lot of people. If you've blown up Spacer ships in orbit then the quest can point you towards the wreckage, breaking the quest line for that character.
I just wish they didn't run out so quickly.
My quest broke. It points me to wreckage in the wrong system
I've got hundreds of hours in this game. He'll I've got hundreds of hours in just this one character ( I have 3 total) and I still have never done the gal bank quests
I haven't run across the wreckage one yet. On console and haven't experienced any bugs with the gal bank stuff yet. It is a Bethesda game so fingers crossed 🤣
if you drop your stuff on the floor and later on you do upgrade somethings in your ship than your stuff will disappear for ever, also if you live weapons in armory and you upgrade your ship all will go. i loose all stuff that I been collecting for 400 hours like that. Once I loose everything when I was making my one ship that I boarded and I didn't notice that, later on my inventory was empty. Stupid me I delete all saves I was thinking dont need them, and I loose everything. So before you delete saves go check your inventory if everything is there, then delete! This is very important tip.
If you have armor on the mannequins in your armory and even repaint your ship, it either goes to inventory, and you have to place it back on the mannequins, or it disappears.
I have had only issues with the weapons and suit displays on ships I dont use them, lost to much stuff early game
@@WombatGaming yeah this is stupid to have displays and cannot use them , at least you didnt loose stuff you keep in ship inventory like I do when I boarded another ship.
@@AndrewJohnson-oy8oj for me all stuff in armory displays and crates , tons of guns just parish into nothingness haha, people saying that it goes into ship inventory but in my case not , I loose like 20 legendary guns , they never show up in ship inventory. And I was trying to storage many things on the floor and all this stuff was gone to, and never back. What is funny Deimos shipyard is gone to , I cant find it anymore , what is left is only this rock called Deimos but accrual shipyard which should be around is gone. This game has best go and no back policy ever haha.
@damnbrosky oh man, I feel your pain! That must be so frustrating.
So Wise Thank You , I seldom Remember the Hot bar. as has been pointed out when you pick up the weapon you do get the ammo
Great tips. I’ve got 200 hours in, and these are helpful!
I’m struggling with the interface (I have 100 examples). I’m also struggling with bizarrely complex systems for certain mechanics (I have 100 examples)!
So any tips you have are greatly appreciated - stuff that is obviously to one person is not obvious to the rest of us. For example the rename function is different for ships versus weapons, and in both cases is easy to overlook (or in the case of ships is freakishly hidden down a few layers in the ship menu tree).
Keep it up (these tips I mean)!
I didn't even know you could rename anything 😅
@@MrPeepees yeah it's 2023 we moved to a more direct UI about 10 or 15 years ago so I thought to rename my ship or whatever I just double-click on the current name and type the new name. Nope.
For some reason they implemented a "Rename" button and then moved it to different places in the UI depending on what you were trying to rename.
Thank you for the feedback
@@Patrick462 Todd himself spelled out the reason very clear:
To make ppl interact in a community...
Or plain said: To make ppl consume 3 vids, read in 2 forums and produce 6 google hits to figure out basic functions...
And since we meet under a explain/tipps video: "It just works"
The Alien Genetic Material is an ingredient in super useful chems, so I keep them until my Chemistry research is max. You can get that +500 DR from 30s to 5min by making the chems.
As for the Red Mile credit heist, the time it takes to scoop those credstix into a basket, you can just run the Red Mile, and get 8000 credits, plus random loot.
True, about the red mile, it was just for fun more than anything
I didn't know about being able to rename items. Great tip!
Glad it was helpful!
Rename weapon tip was great.
you can buy these same items on The KEY once you start the UC Sysdef vs crimson fleet questline as well
In Neon, at the NC security office, raid the evidence locker for contraband and other high value items that are not guarded. Sell them at the Trade Authority not too far away. Supposedly they reset and refill after 200 UC hours.
My tip is if you go to Jemison spaceport in Alpha Centauri at the back of where you land opposite the ship merchant there is a locked room with a terminal you can hack to open and inside is a crate where you can store items and there is no limit !!
Thanks I will check it out
I know we are all just came here but it seems like you just opened the game and started playing it Riujinn Industries is the company that makes the neuroamps, if you literally go out of that store and take a left and go into the lobby of reddish working Tower and talked to the gentleman standing in the back right and he will sell you clothing that gives you 5% persuasion boost as well as all three versions of the neuro amp as well the three different levels for each version, if your level is high enough. If you're still a low level then it will only show Mark 1 and Mark II for the neuro amps
Varuun inflictor with annihilator rounds and upgrades on all the other options to maximize damage makes Very Hard very Easy.
With the creds on the table, I had 3 stealth items equipped, pushed them off the table and over towards the unoccupied table, stelthed and grabbed them.
Great tips thank you
Glad it was helpful!
Good call on the Alien Genetic Material. I discovered this recently and haven't seen anyone else mention it. It's also a major rare ingredient for advanced pharmaceuticals once you have all ranks in the Chemistry Skill, adding many other effects to that damage reduction. Great to have on hand for anyone. Slaughter those aliens!
Thanks
There is a much easier way to steal the credits and anything from anywhere with the chameleon perK on your armor just make sure it's on your helmet and spacesuit crouch and your instantly hidden and can take what ever you want even if the person is looking right at you I think if you have chameleon on your jetpack it works also as long as you have two items on with chameleon you can steal anything
Good Tiips Bro !
Appreciate it!
Neuro marks can be found at the key and the vendor at the bottom of ryujin
Thanks for the info
You can buy them from the manufacturers shop opposite of tranquilytea shop in neon. But same ones.
Thanks
No problem
awesonw thanks
No problem!
about the neurocoms, they are made by Ryujin and can be bought at their own shop in the Ryujin tower, ground floor, ist is easy to miss shows no own sign just a desk with a person behind.
Thanks for the info
I used Amp all the time at the start until i discovered Frostwolf. This gives you 50% speed increase compared to Amps 35%. The only drawback is you dont get the jump bonus. I will continue to use Frostwolf until i get the recipe for Red Amp which will give you the 2x jump bonus, 50% speed increase and 400 dmg resistance for 2 minutes all rolled into one.
there's a vendor just outside ryujin towers which sells all the neuroboost items..... (opposite the guy who sells the disruptors)
Thanks I will take a look
I haven't tried everything but Vanguard radiant missions provide tons of credits, xps, and resources all at once. Great way to level up & build up stuff. You literally can go from the Vanguard desk straight into a ship fight n then back to the desk for another mission. Takes about 2 minutes to make close to 200 xps & get 2500-5000 credits. Only a couple of loading screens which are quick
There's a vendor with the Crimson Fleet that seems to rarely sell a +Persuasion neuroamp, and is the only place I've found it...
The ryujin vendor in the tower lobby sells them too.
Also, do yourself a favor, get a Disruptor. Use it to "sleep" an entire area/camp enjoy the easy pickpocket perk leveling
I do pick up all weapons because all the ammo is added to what you already have. Then drop the weapons I don't want but you keep the ammo, its a win, win.
i think i found those neuro cloths at a vendor on the key
I never noticed the ability to rename a weapon before!
About the neuroamps? Yes, there is a vendor, on the right, when entering Ryujin (across from the gun dealer) that sells them, as well. And I have checked every time I was in the area and have only seen the same 3.
Thanks for the info
If you rank up your Chemistry skill and perform all the research for pharmacology, then you get additional research items that allow you to craft Dwarf Star Hearts, Black Hole Hearts, Subgiant Hearts, and Hypergiant Hearts, all of which require the alien genetic material, and the efects can range from 30s to 5m.
Check out Ryujin Tower in the lobby across from the energy weapons dealer.
On the alien genetic material, i have been collecting them since the start, and keeping them in storage so have like 300 of em now lol to be honest the whole 30sec thing kinda through me. Now at level 60 im thinking i should take a few out instead of the med packs. ignorance is bliss 🤣
If you've gotten far enough into the story you could combine that with the Reactive Shield power to make yourself really tanky in a fight.
Also when doing the manipulation or instigation for intimidation, you said in the video that it depends on what clothes you have on which is not true. The clothes only help your probability of success, you need to use the skill point to unlock the skills necessary for even having instigation diplomacy intimidation and manipulation. Fun fact, the negotiation skill will allow you to bribe people in dialogue, diplomacy also allows you to do that but when not in dialogue diplomacy just makes enemies stop fighting you Anatomy stop fighting you temporarily unless you have diplomacy skills maxed out
So for the red mile credit stealing just use a spacesuit item that has chameleon and as long as you’re squatted and not moving you can take them all 👍👍
On the topic of alien genetic material if you level up pharmaceutical skill tree you can make 2 different sets of buff multipliers with that ingrediant it will make the original buff last 5 minutes at the final tier and theirs another to slow time and negate damage also pretty crazy their called subjugate hearts and some other names with heart at the end cant think of it off the top of my head right now but itll last much much longer
Thanks for the info
@WombatGaming no problem when I get on sometime tomorrow I will post the names of those items for you as well!💯‼️✔️
The ryujin clothes trader sells them and the more u do for that quest line unlocks the rest and they need the perk cards for each effect
thanks for the info
Yes I saw someone else knows the stealing trick where you can steal ANY ITEM in the game from anywhere and even things NPC characters have right in front of them on tables or in shops for sale. Just wear any two chameleon items. Out of the three things you wear that can have that feature. These are the helmet, jet pack, or space suit. Just have two on at a time. Then crouch to enable the chameleon effect and once you're invisible you are ready to steal ANYTHING FROM ANYWHERE OR ANYONE. without ever being caught or seen. So all those credits you dont need a basket to knock them into, just pick them up!! Don't forget to be crouching!!! It's easy to forget.... Also be careful not to steal too quickly after hitting the crouch button... Wait 2 or 3 seconds to fully not be seen... Same with after stealing do not walk or move at all while stealing... You can use the right stick on Xbox to turn or look around but the second you hit that left stick and you'll be seen
You asked if there was another place to buy the Neuroamps? There is. If you are doing the Crimson Fleet questline, one of the vendors on the Key, i think it's the General Goods vendor has them. They do have the mk 3 version of the diplomacy one, which i think is the best one to have. They do require you to have at least point in that skill for them to actually work, but they are also a facial decoration if you just want it for that. You'll see many of the vendors wearing them.
Thanks for the info
Fantastic, brilliant, helpful and insightful video; thank you, Wombat! (Is that enough to convince the sycophant sorting algorithm that this is an uplifting post? IDK and IDC).
The system's name is pronounced Vol-eye compared to Vol-ee.
Neuroamps are visible on the left temple and left forehead. They're made by Ryujin and described as their "signature product".
I've found them sold by Aito Suzuki in the Ryujin shop on the ground floor of Ryujin Tower.
Keep up the masterful work, encouraging interaction using tips that people will feel compelled to correct 🙂
Thanks for the kind words 🙏 and info
The Alien Genetic Material does not give 500% it gives 500.
ether way its a lot of protection when used
True. But there is a big difference between the two...facts matter.
P.S. You misspelled either.😁 @@WombatGaming
I have noticed on the planet that the layer of the mantis is on the time works similar to Venus
Ryujin store also sells them !
Thanks for the info
Neuroamps are nice prop for live cosplay. Got to make some, scared real people too. Perfect complement to real Constellation watches (made by Chronomark) from boxed Constellation edition.
the trait that makes your weapons do more damage the lower your health is (part of) the "wanted" trait... which i'd consider probably the best trait, get attacked, more xp, more loot, steal their ships, and also do more damage when injured.. what's not to like.
it also changes a bit depending on your background evidently.. i played a character that had a soldier background with wanted, i'd get attacked randomly when traveling to new systems, a few "bounty hunters" would show up right away to attack me, and usually also some "bounty defenders" would show up to stop them, so my bounty in theory goes up and THEY can collect later, but they will just help kill the bounty hunters and leave after a quick hail and explaining to you that they will be back... OR you can attack them too, there's no down side to it either.
BUT, i started a new character with background of bounty hunter, and instead i get random ships show up, not aggressive (yet) one named "bounty hunter captain" hails me and gives me an option to just pay him to leave or to fight...
i am curious now if any other backgrounds combined with wanted are different still... though i'm not sure how else it could vary. maybe a bounce, gangster, or space scoundrel gets attacked by spacers or some one else, instead of ecliptic mercenaries??
Not to sure about the wanted trait, I'm going to give that a go on my next charter if I start one.
Great post! What kind of gun were you using when you were offing all the bad guys (boss section?)
I use the Hard Taget and Big Bang
Not sure if it was a tip or a bug or not, I took an Ecleptic ship in space the other day and when I was going to head to The Eye, it told me I had contraband aboard. I couldn't find it anywhere, so I went to the Key and swapped ships back to original, then went to Akila and sold the stolen ship with no troubles. (I had registered the pirate ship while in space before hand.) Evidently the contraband that I couldn't find never transferred to my original ship either. Kind of weird.
I've had that happen with alot of stolen ecliptic ships. Can't find it anywhere. So I just let myself get arrested and get the contraband confiscated. Then just steal it back from the contraband crate. I've been arrested alot. I'm a space scoundrel
Grabbing a basket that is to hilarious 😂😂😂.
thanx bro
Welcome
The basket thing is kinda pointless, but if you're gonna do it, give capslock a tap before you move the basket full of credsticks. You go into a much slower walk on keyboard/mouse. It's a toggle btw. Slow mode on/off
It was more for fun tbh
Some good tips, i have a question, you know the trick of going into an area on very hard to get good gear to spawn but then you can drop down to lower difficulties for the actual fight, how about the other way round, if you have a good weapon and you enter an area on v hard but then drop down the skill level for the fight, does the weapon still do the really high damage to the now lower level baddies or does the damage scale down when you scale down the difficulty?
Yes you gun will still do the high damage, dropping to easy only help you kill them faster
Neuros can be bought from Reujin store they have a MUCH large selection
Nice info thank you
Choosing to re play the story will show you that Starfield has no NG+ and everyone who says it does hasn't really played.
Neuroboost sells in Ryujin lobby turn right areas of left
The lobby of Ryujin tower on the right on the way to the elevator is a neuro amp vender.
Thanks for the info
Great Tips and Tricks video. What inventory mod are you using? Do you have a favorite mods video of mods that work well together?
www.nexusmods.com/starfield/mods/773
Using this mod, no video for mods yet Working on it
At the risk of being a killjoy, the sweeping things into a basket (or equivalent) to steal really needs patching out. If I was sitting at the card table and someone did that I'm not going to sit there and watch you do it. Especially if you knock my beer over whilst doing it ;-)
Yes so true, there are lots of examples of this thou, picking up garbage in the street will get you shot at and locked up lol
So the first and last tips r the only ones I did not know about and will be using from now on. Especially the first tip. Did not know I could add more but was wondering I'm using the special outfit u get from joining the gang in neon city so would I still be able to add the extra stuff even though I have a mask and hood on.
Glad it helped, thanks for watching
Thanks for the content. Wish this vid had timestamps.
Good point thanks for the feedback
Items on the floor don't go into the cargo of a new ship when changing home ships they stay with the ship they're in. But at least you don't lose them lol. I've went back to ships I've changed and said hey whats all this junk lol its all stuff I dropped because I was overincumbered and cargo was full.
True that would only work on an outpost or permanent location
@WombatGaming right but at least they're not lost. I went into one of my ships and saw stuff in the captains vault that I put in there at the beginning of the game lol!
ryyuen lobby has diplomacy and persuasion marks.
Neuroamps are equipped on your character's face.
If you wear 2 pieces of chameleon you can just take the credit sticks right in front of them.
Really? I will have to try this lol
The vendor near the Tranquilitea also sales clothes and other neuroboosts that improve your stats. While you are there buy some tea that gives you an extra 2% XP.
Nice tip thanks
Tip: If you don't mess with wildlife, they won't mess with you. The only exceptions are animals that have learned that humans are tasty, like Ashta.
From what I've watched others say; Going after the Legend enemy to get a higher chance at a Legendary item doesn't increase if you set your difficulty higher. Some have said you should set your difficulty to very hard when scanning a planet - they claim that's when the enemies pop in at that difficulty - and then when you land turn it down to Easy and they will be easy to kill and get Legendary items, while others have said doing a method such as this does not in fact have any impact on the probability of rolling a Legendary if you change any difficulty setting; just do a quicksave and reload it until you get what you're after, and nevermind about the difficulty setting. 🤷🏻♂
Interesting info might do some testing on that. Thanks
I tried the other night went to do a mission to kill a "Pirate Legend" on a planet; killed everyone except the highest guy but I don't think he was a Legend because his title above his head said Pirate Commandeer or Commander, not Pirate Legend, which I've seen in videos before, that the NPC did in fact say Pirate Legend, so this may be why after 40 attempts it only spawned two legendary items, none of which were what I was after. So I don't know why the other youtuber said as a method you can find a Mission Terminal, and look for the ones that want you to kill a Pirate Legend, only to have them not actually be one. I also set the difficulty on Very Hard before landing and I still never got any legendary items. Setting it back to Very Easy also didn't feel like it raised the probability of dropping a legendary. I think their RNG is just batty...I will try to find an actual Pirate Legend somewhere and test it again though.. @@WombatGaming
For killing legendaries farming, be sure to set the difficulty to Very Hard Setting to increase the chanves of a higger tier drop. ✌️😉
Ryujin sells those neuro things in abundances .
Thanks I will check it out
200 hours in and completely missed that I can rename weapons and armour.
lol ! 5-4days ago I got an idea about the video aof these face implants..looks like sent to strong of a thought and someone else made it :D
Nice to see people making useful Starfield videos instead of another one whining about it by a person who doesn't even own the game
Thank you for watching
They sell those at the key.
The neuroamps show on your face. And they're made by Ryujin and you can buy more at their store in the lobby of their building down the way from Newills
Gotta ask... Where did you get that dress for Abdreja?
There is a mission you can do to get this dress. Can't remember at the moment
More in rijun salesman near elevator
WoW, my genetic alien Drops I have 7 and there are all 300 I wonder if it's because I'm not on a higher level?
I'm not sure I used to get them at a lower level with no issue's
My ship has 113k storage lmaooo
They are called Neuroamps - show up as jewelry on your face - and is sold by Ryujin
Thanks for the info
