To be clear, Numenera currently uses 2 core books, Discovery & Destiny.
Discovery features 3 archetypes: Glaive, Jack, and Nano.
Destiny features 3 additional archetypes: Arkus, Wright, and Delve.
At the risk of oversimplifying, an Arkus is like a natural leader, a Wright is a crafter/artificer, and a Delve is a master explorer.
Destiny also describes a rich system of crafting and settlement building. Each archetype has additional abilities that give buffs to settlements they're actively assisting, including the archetypes introduced in Discovery.

I am certainly going to pick these up. Perhaps we will cover them again after we've played a lot.

Abides in Stone (CSR, it's specifically "Crystal" in Numenera):
"What does that mean? What makes you difficult to harm?"
It means you get one or more advantages that make you difficult to harm. 😂
The T1 Golem Body Ability offers +1 Armor, +1 Might Edge, and +5 Might pool points and a ton of other advantages right out of the gate. I'm not familiar with D&D mechanics so I don't see how this is remotely vague. 🤔
The name of the Foci is just shorthand for a collection of specific advantages that set your character apart. Pool adjustments, bonuses, powers, etc.
In Cypher, it usually doesn't matter what kind of attack is used (kicking, punching, warhammer to the groin, etc.) because it's all about the stats. That extra armor counts towards all DMG received except Intellect DMG (which typically bypasses armor). The extra Might points mean you get to use more (or more expensive) Might-based abilities before running out of juice or survive longer than say a weak Adept/Nano when it comes to Might-based damage. The extra Might Edge means those kinds of abilities cost less to "cast".
    "Look! It's the Incredible Hulk!!!“
" Oh yeah? What makes him so incredible?"
    ...
“Super-Strength, nigh-impenetrable green skin, far leaping..."
It's all tied together by the stat adjustments.

One thing I have picked up on from all the "DnD refugees", which is evidenced (albeit in jest) in Ian's claws comment, is that DnD DM's appear to have a hostile, antagonistic relationship with their players.
Monte Cook specifically went out of his way to avoid this by making Players roll the die. Cypher GM's never roll. The die is the villain, not the GM.
Also, Numenera is about exploration and discovery and typically rewards XP for those things (or other clever/unusual things players come up with) rather than combat. You're more likely to get shins amd Cyphers from combat than XP.
Cypher is more of a group narrative game. Rather than just the GM telling that epic saga they've been working on for ten years and cackling while players dance around all the traps and monsters, a Cypher GM gets more of a thrill when players beat those things in fun, spectacular, and odd ways they couldn't have predicted. Or go off script in weird, wild ways.
A Cypher GM typically roots for their players and lays guideposts for the adventure rather than writing and directing it with an iron fist. This does not seem to be the case in DnD from many comments I've heard by DnD refugees. 😐
