Yeah-- freaking passionate-- their vocals grab the listener. This song was written for Otis Redding, but he died in a plane crash before he could record it, so the Bee Gees did it themselves. It's their most covered song.
Bee Gees write and sing their songs with their soul. You can’t help but be moved by them. Bee Gees music is magical. ❤❤❤
A song for eternity. Every great musician loves 'To Love Somebody'. And every fan of real music too.
No matter the time frame, early, disco, later material,no falsetto, falsetto, The Bee Gees were the BEST
It is like seeing Andy Gibb playing 60s dress up
Classic Bee Gees! Great reaction.
Glad you are doing some of the older classic Bee Gees songs. I especially love their early music from the 60's-70's. Some of their hits were "How Can You Mend A Broken Heart", "New York Mining Disaster 1941", "Holiday", "Massachusetts", "World", "And The Sun Will Shine", "Really & Sincerely", "Words", "The Singer Sang His Song", "I've Gotta Get A Message To You", "Lonely Days", "I Started A Joke", "Melody Fair", "First of May" etc.
The Bee Gees had a younger brother, too. Three of the four died way too soon.
The BeeGees wrote so many love songs. They wrote this song for Otis Redding but he past away before he could record it so they recorded it. You want a love songg listen to their song WORDS. The perfect Love song and Barry’s voice is so sexual ❤️. Just love your channel you do All Music new. Old, BTS. That’s why this 70 year old great grandma loves you ❤️❤️❤️
My experience is that most of the time when an artist writes and creates the song they seem to perform it with more passion and feeling.
Back then singles had a time limit. Truth.
Oh such an amazing song. All Bee Gees songs are simply wonderful.
They were so young here but still so good !!!! Loved this group from beginning to end
One of the original fans,(old bugger)...There is a word for the BEE GEES and it is Talent ! mixed with the right FEELING !!! what a time for music.
They got unique voices ❤
The Bee Gees are great. Their early stuff is great.
You are spot on. Love these guys too. 🤩😍🤩😍🥰
Love The Bee Gees !!😊
The first really big hit. Love the harmony perfect.
I'm 70 and grown up with the bee gees just love them
I think the Bee Gees have earned their own box in your Playlist tab 🥰. And you can add Fanny (Be Tender With My Love), Love You Inside Out and Love's So Right to that box....for starters 😁 There are hundreds more in this rabbit hole you've just jumped into.
There's gold in them there hills.... they are huge. Immortlity written by the BeeGees for Celine Dion is amazing. 😊
I think this might be my favorite Bee Gees song.
Gorgeous song 💓💓💓💓💓💓💓
Love your reaction and the Bee Gee's. One of the other very romantic songs they sing is "How Can You Mend a Broken Heart". So beautiful, I think you would enjoy it! 😊
Words is another great love song by the Bee Gees. Other fantastic love songs include: Precious and Few/Climax, I Love You/Climax Blues Band, This Guy's in Love with You/Herb Alpert, I'd Love You to Want Me/Lobo, and these classics from Bread: Baby I'm-A Want You, It Don't Matter To Me, Everything I Own (actually about his father) and If. Air Supply has some good ones as well. Could It Be Magic/Barry Manilow is good as well.
They were the absolute best. 🥰
I was 13 when this came out. Amazing then and just as amazing today!!!
Music today, pales to the music back then.
Country music, pales to the country music of the 80s and 90s.
There is no good music today, in my opinion.
That one about Justin Bieber was a doozy! Thanks! And Justin isn't even the worst of them. But they are all like dwarves crawling under the feet of giants when compared to the great artists of days gone by. Thank you, Sir, for your reaction and comments!
I love The Bee Gees earlier music!
Thank you, whenever they sing they bring me to a special place.
Originally written for Otis Redding but he died in a plane crash.
I've read that this is Barry Gibb's favorite of their songs. I know that it's mine🙂
Barry’s choice of favorite song always changes.
The Bee Gees were brothers who were born on the Isle of Man and then moved to Manchester. They then moved to Australia before coming back to the UK and then after some success they moved to the USA.They were one of the greatest groups ever. They had loads of great songs over many decades and genres.
At the time this song was recorded (April,1967) Barry was 20 while Robin and Maurice were 17. They were already veteran singers with 10 years performing together in Australia. The brothers are actually Manx, i.e., they were born on the Isle of Man, one of the lesser British Isles. Their parents moved to England and then Australia in the late 1950s. This is one of a series of charting songs they had in 1967, the year in which they moved back to England from Australia.
I love it so much. Every Song is a surprice. Nobody can switch there Voices like the Bee Gees. 🕺🥰👍
Great song (one of many) by a great group.
Love You Inside Out is another hit song u might want to check out ❤
Have loved The Bee Gees since the ‘60’s, and I really love your reactions❤️🔥
Dear Michael,
You will really appreciate the songs:' Words' and 'How Can You Mend A Broken Heart.' For sure! Can't wait to see your reaction!
They write pure emotions. That's Robin at the end. Powerful. Originally written by them for Otis Redding but he sadly died before he could record it. You speak the truth. Well done.
It's either Mo with Robin or just Mo, as the cameras right on him as he's belting!🎶
It was Mo at the end.
It’s Mo.
Thanks for the reaction. Love the Bee Gees, one of my favorites.
"I Started a Joke" Michael, so good.
Michael, I love your reactions to the songs, and I feed off your great energy. Keep up the great work.
Love how Mo went up in there!!
Voices are perfect and lookin good too way back then lol
You have just proved you have great taste. This song has been covered & recorded by around 200 artists according to one of their interviews. A very soulful Barry singing this with Maurice ( pronounced Morris) at the piano adding the high pitched screams at the end! Great reaction!❤
Words (live 1979) is the love song sung with the most passion from Barry for me. You can see his wife there in public and Barrys face and voice speaks volumes in this performance!
Watch the Ed Sullivan version instead.
Awesome reaction as usual 😊
CanNOT beat The BeeGees! Anything…
THIS IS GOOD
Thanks bro!!
And they wrote their own songs.
You are one lucky guy hearing Bee Gees older music just as you are discovering them . I didn't know the Bee Gees had a life before disco and only heard their older stuff just a few years ago. I actually prefer it to the disco ( and I do like their classic disco songs!). Barry was always such a talent! and this song is one of their best from the older catalogue, i think. (edit) P.S. Just looked it up, Barry would have been 21 in 1967!!!
Twin brothers Maurice and Robin and brother Barry were awesome together but they also had a little brother named Andy Gibb, who left us way too soon because of drugs. He was a co-host on a show called Solid Gold. That whole family is just so talented.
One of my favorites. Good work, Mayoman.
Priceless. You're so good at these reaction videos Michael! Like 220!
Great reaction Michael.
VERY GOOD!! REACT LIVE OR DIE BEE GEES...
👍💪👌
One of their best songs. There's a really great version live from Keith Urban at a Salute to the Bee Gees show. Really exceptional. Australians all.
The Bee Gees aren’t Australian.
@@TWariner they are from down under,
@@sherigrow6480No they’re not. Do some research. They were born on the Isle of Man, then moved to Manchester, then moved to Australia, then moved back to England, then moved to America. And all stayed here, except for Robin, who moved back to England.
New subscriber here. Loved your reaction to this gorgeous song. You and the Hellman’s Mayo. Good taste on both counts!😉😋
hi michael, please listen to for whom the bell tolls. more goosebump music.
bee gees search find
LOL😂 what's up with the mayo jar behind you !!?? Just wondering
Mo with pimples! 😆 Hey, I'll take that mayo if you're not gonna eat it...
Thanks, Michael! Barry is awesome, but I'm all about Robin... he is so unique... although any one of those boys could hit any of those notes on any day of the week... Nothing better than family... lol
None of them could’ve done this song like Barry did.
@@TWariner Once again, Tonya, you are certainly correct... each one of them had their unique talents... but I was just pointing out that they all could sing those high falsettos.. I sense you are a "Barry" fan...
Whats the mayonnaise about?😊
Bingo!! Congratulations!! 🎊🍾🎉
You’re the sucker of the day!!!
Test
What's up with the mayo?
This is my favorite song by them. I think "Holiday" is second runner - up.
