Spies who are more sneaky will probably use a gun to shoot you, so technically, the razorback in a way can be considered partially useless.
Gibusvision players love to see this gun as an Ak-47.
It could be used more but it is not better, it is optional.
You must be really comfortable with spys to use anything other than razorback, especially in competitive (Hl).
You are the only reason I am sitting here as an almost 100 hour sniper main, thx very much. It's cause of you I improved my aim, thanks very much.

Update: So as you know I started making video's again, hurrah! Because of this the cpu fan of my desktop pc decided to crap itself... Yea I have to replace the fan of my pc now before I can start recording again. Just as I thought I was done with all the stuff delaying work on this channel.

The carbine isn't that great. The carbine does to little damage to be a proper self defense weapon, the brief burst of extra damage with crikey isn't worth it since you'll only get around 1 extra shot worth of damage if you hit all your shots and combining the crikey with the bushwacka isn't great either since you first tell the enemies that you're using the carbine so you'll most likely be using a bushwacka too. Because of this the same issue arrives as with the jarate, smart players won't be getting close to you when you activate your crikey.

@@Nickbro101 so your saying that the carbine can be used as a support weapon, but there are ways to counter the carbine and bushwacka combo.

I’ve found it useful for finishing off sentries. Fully charged shot followed by an smg spray is pretty effective.
Welp, I really enjoy the content and tips on how to improve my skills as a sniper
I only use the smg in my secondary. I don't care about the shields, or the jarate. SMG always is reliable and when you can aim, it really does some pretty good damage for close combat situations. I always constantly look around me and listen closely for spies anyways when nothing is happening infront of me to snipe. I'm pretty good about listening for them and pyros I usually don't have to worry about them too much because I am either positioned away from them, or if they sneak up I kill them where they only get a few ticks of after burn on me and I'm near a health pack.
The smg is a very well rounded weapon which can be used like spy's
revolver. It can be used to finish of an enemy, output damage at close range and track down spies who can trickstab.
i use spy's revolver like a sniper, sniper's smg like a minigun, and sniper's melees like battle axes

Say whatcha want about it being weak or underrated but its satisfying as hell to get a kill with it. Best used on demos and scouts..
I'm the same. I actually use the SMG a lot, considering the fact that my favorite rifle, the Machina, does not fire no-scope, and I prefer not to use a melee unless the enemy is cornering me. Whenever I play Sniper (which is often, considering the fact I am a Sniper main), I always have the SMG or Cleaner's Carbine in my secondary and only change it if there are too many pyros or spies.

I have been using the Dangershield alot since the update. But once pyros are more scarce, then I'll probably pull out my smg again.
I think if the smg has a reskin like the default rifle, like a h&k smg style. More people would use it.
Another question I also have, is the smg good as a damage dealer weapon, cuz many youtubers say that the smg is more for finishing enemies off
I like to use stock SMG in combination with the Sydney Sleeper. Pop someone with a charged up Jarate dart, then pull out your Call of Battlefield sidearm and go ham on the guy. Trust me, it's a good combo. (I also use the Conscientious Objector as my melee because memes.)
ik I'm late but I wanna add 1 more and that's, it good when you're trying to run from an enemy sniper since the constant damage will cause the sniper to flinch and making it way harder to hit you, unless they have a cozy camper. then you're fucked

Does that damage per 3 seconds calculation take the SMG's reload time into account??
I mostly use it with the huntsman to finish off

Then You Say You need to protect yourself but You have the melee wich is good ! Then You can use the primary wich You can no-scope or (if You are pro) headshot the attacker so fast !
For be more safe You can use the croc thing for your back and for Spies You can use the razorback !
That's what I think everyone have His Playstyle so You can use the SMG If You like IT :)

Shouldn't the smg at least mini crit or even better do crit on headshots?
The Classic is best paired with the SMG, and you could also pair it with the Huntsman.
Cozy camper and Darwin's danger shield are the best IMO
the smg is also my favourite secondary, though I wish valve could buff the cleaner's carbine

There is a 5% chance to headshot a scout.
And a 10% chance to headshot a scout when you are a good Sniper main. Like a PRO

Did the smg get a nerf or was it always the same. Cuz when I see other players use it, either it was me or valve actually nerfed it. Let me know if u know.
The smg never got changed throughout all of tf2's life, the stat's you see in the video are identical to both release and present day tf2.

@@Nickbro101 well when I see other tf2 youtubers use the smg, the damage doesn't seem to increase, for instance, in their gameplay, it stays as the same damage just 12 damage each, while the on I see on your gameplay, it increases.
@@diamondguy-xs4lg 12 damage is the maximum damage that a single bullet of the smg can do. The damage actually decreases over range.
Are you perhaps claiming my damage "increases" due to my damage numbers getting bigger?
If so then that is because I have damage number batching enabled. This means that instead of a bunch of numbers for each single hit, there is only one number indicating the total amount of damage that you've dealt in that series of hits.
@@Nickbro101 Thanks, btw thanks as well for the smg video tips and tricks because I play a parody version of tf2 and I tried it and it turns out the smg is not trash, like you said, it's more of a underrated weapons people look at it. But keep up the great content.

My guide for smg:
Throw this crap on junkyard and use piss+horrible butcher knife what deals crits.
My conclusion: play agressively and have played cs go for a while? Smg
Otherwise: piss/shit made out of wood you can place at your back
Keep getting harassed as sniper when you have a crappy team or a master spy on the opposite team. Would prefer razorback in that case. But LORD how annoying are those ambassy gunspies!
