Seems good...fitted today on a 2014 Suzuki Grand Vitara with a Sony WX920BT head unit...volume and source on the steering wheel worked straight away but very easily configured the other buttons via the head unit... simple to fit and configure.

After following instructions and wiring diagrams to the letter this product fails to work! Yes I did make all connections before finally connecting to vehicle OEM quadlock connector. I did extensive research including getting advice from Connects2 direct on what product was needed for my installation in a 2010 Mercedes Sprinter motorhome, fitting a Kenwood DMX8019DABS. I trusted the advise given and purchased the fitting kit CTKMB18. The head unit taken out was just as pictured in this video, the Audio 20. The only steering wheel button to respond in any way is the phone hang up button, which changes the source on head unit. I cannot turn up or down the volume, cannot answer or hang up phone. In the Kenwood head unit under set up - interfaces - steering wheel controls it won’t respond when any of the steering wheel controls are pressed except hang up phone, which just changes source, so it cannot be programmed from the Kenwood head unit either... The harness and unit are either faulty, not correct for vehicle, or wiring instructions are incorrect...? I’m not your average joe diy’er either, I’m 40 years as a qualified motor vehicle tech and my steering wheel controls were perfect before fitting this product. Awaiting reply from connects2 technical department (who have been polite and helpful so far) on what to do next.....? Follow up to say - connects2 technical we’re unable to resolve this issue but remained genuinely helpful throughout - wiring instructions are wrong! Do not connect the mute wire if fitting this head unit with this interface!
What sort of head units use the Park Brake , Reverse Gear, Speed Pulse? Why are they needed by a car stereo? Just bought the citreon version CTSCT008 and multilead adaptor. Will be using with pioneer so all 3 wires are kept intact and 3.5mm socket used for remotes. It's a basic 1 din usb/bluetooth PIONEER MVH-S410BT. Pretty sure it won't need the 3 extra wires. Seems simple enough. All going in a 2007 C4 Grand picasso.

Hello, i just bought an interface of yours to renault clio 3 . Doesnt work. The main problem is , when i plug the cars iso harness to the interfaces harness theres missing some wires . Theres just black and yellow wire. The antenna and the ignition wire doesnt continues in the interface. The other end is fine , every wire is there where it should be and its amount is ok. So when i plug in everything even when the acc is off a head unit powers on and shuts down after about 30 sec. I have to plug a plus wire from the cars red wire to the head units red wire and that way i can keep it running but it wont turn off until i unplug . Tried hours spending with the touch learning , i dont get any reaction from the steering wheel buttons. Can u give me some advice ?

Added a reverse camera to my 09 plate mondeo 2.2 diesel Tx sport. It’s a pioneer head unit camera operating great and head unit working but controls on steering wheel are mixed up ? Volume now changes band and scan turns volume down ? Any thoughts , not had time to investigate yet. Great site thanks Bren.
Not true tho, as for as long as I can remember, when installing a Sony head unit, u need to swap the yellow and red wires round for memory retention, u will know if its correct when you switch off the ignition, if the stereo is wired correctly, you will here the famous ( Sony beep patturn) through the speakers, if you do, this means the power wired are connected the right way round
It is true what he said was don't touch unless you need to and not to mess, and has nothing today with being a sony radio, it's to do with the car that some swap the 2 live around, that's why the put the bullets there on red and yellow to change them over

Having Alpine I have to remove the green cable and it's almost mission impossible !! Like what the generic is not the solution since I had to order a ctmultilead precisely for Alpine !! The ignition signal is generated by the CAN interface and is supplied by a driver chip on it, so they are correct, swap them at your peril. You are thinking about old school VAG and GM cars which is not applicable with these interfaces.

Hi I'm fitting a pioneer sph-da160dab head unit to my 2013 corsa d and replacing the stock unit cd30mp3, using a CTKVXll kit, but have a couple of questions please My questions are please 1. The 3 flyer wires on your loom , what are they for , do I need? 2. Am I right to say on your loom the purple,white flyer is a reverse trigger? , should this be connected to the reverse on my new head loom?, also there's a reverse trigger wire on the rear cam loom. Should all 3 be joined if not how should they go please. 3. The black and red are for ground , and ignition switched live , correct ? Hi I have the steering wheel interface Hi, I am just about ready to make the final connection of the head unit (Pioneer avic F88). On the little patch lead I have clipped the jumper on J1 and its all plugged in (So I am happy with that and everything else is connected. HOWEVER, I have one thing I CANNOT figure out. It says to connect the wire marked *KEY 1* to the radio.... But it doesnt say to WHERE on the radio? (IE to which wire?) CAN YOU ADVISE PLEASE? Lastly. one of the other 2 wires is marked *GND*. I assume this is a ground wire and needs connecting to a chassis part? Please advise on the above asap.. Many thanks in advance.
Hi Ian, If the patch lead you have is the CTMULTILEAD.2 then you would not have needed to cut any of the loops, and would have simply needed to plug in the jack lead. Hi there. I'm really struggling configuring my car (Astra H 2006) steering wheel controls to my new stereo (PLZ MP-E100) via Connects 2 ctsvx002.2AA. My stereo requires the steering wheel controls to be pressed while "it learns". This means that I could get 'volume' and 'change station' buttons to work, but some of the other steering wheel buttons (e.g. answer the phone) only produce a voltage change when depressed which means the stereo is unable to understand it. Is there a way around this issue? The connects 2 unit is configured as "chinese learning" - unsure whether a different option would work. Thanks

I note your advice on the necessity to attach the harness/adapters in order from the head unit towards the vehicle interface, but I am a bit perplexed as to how this can have any effect as the system should be un-powered during the connection procedure. What kind of witchcraft is going on here?
As the car is turned off the battery is still pumping power to the car's electronics, I believe that it is common practice in the US to disconnect the terminals from the battery, but in the UK we keep it attached and just go ahead, it's not common that it will mess about with the electronics, but its always better to go by the book C2
Thanks for that, point taken - but wouldn't it be a bit clearer to say that the connection to the car harness should be the last one? It really doesn't matter which order the components are connected between the HU and the points upstream of the final connection, does it? BTW I've just installed an ATOTO A6 into my Audi TT RS using your components and they work very well.
@@Connects2Uk so if the battery is disconnected then it doesn't matter? I've always disconnected the negative lead before mucking about with the wiring inside the dash, it just seems legit to me. I don't want sparks or for the battery to drain while I'm sitting there trying to tie everything together.
Not really, especially concerning our wiring as everything is plug and play (connector > connector) Using other wiring when loose, I would tend to disconnect as being connected you will have more risk of the battery draining what with electrics being on and as you say risking a short/creating sparks But some people have certain practices, and thats good, it's what distinguishes a true professional to the weekend novice

switching the red and yellow wire will not pop a fuse, its both 12v. second its DC like every battery, so no opposing currents

Hi, I bought a chinese android navy for my ford fiesta 2011. However the steering wheel controls won't work and everything is connected as it should. Can the canbus be faulty ? Any way to test this ? I tried to set them in the settings but it keeps saying error try again. I plugged original system back and steering wheel commands work fine.

Hi I'm fitting a pioneer sph-da160dab head unit to my 2013 corsa d and replacing the stock unit cd30mp3, using a CTKVXll kit, but have a couple of questions please
My questions are please
1. The 3 flyer wires on your loom , what are they for , do I need?
2. Am I right to say on your loom the purple,white flyer is a reverse trigger? , should this be connected to the reverse on my new head loom?, also there's a reverse trigger wire on the rear cam loom.
Should all 3 be joined if not how should they go please.
3. The black and red are for ground , and ignition switched live , correct ? Even though the black and red wire change to just a single red further into your loom?
Will my dash display (time, date, temp) still work OK?

I am just about ready to make the final connection of the head unit (Pioneer avic F88). On the little patch lead I have clipped the jumper on J1 and its all plugged in (So I am happy with that and everything else is connected. HOWEVER, I have one thing I CANNOT figure out.
It says to connect the wire marked *KEY 1* to the radio.... But it doesnt say to WHERE on the radio? (IE to which wire?)
CAN YOU ADVISE PLEASE?
Lastly. one of the other 2 wires is marked *GND*. I assume this is a ground wire and needs connecting to a chassis part?
Please advise on the above asap..

Hi Ian,
If the patch lead you have is the CTMULTILEAD.2 then you would not have needed to cut any of the loops, and would have simply needed to plug in the jack lead.
The KEY 1 and GND wires are more intended for learning head units opposed to brands such as Pioneer

Hi there. I'm really struggling configuring my car (Astra H 2006) steering wheel controls to my new stereo (PLZ MP-E100) via Connects 2 ctsvx002.2AA.
My stereo requires the steering wheel controls to be pressed while "it learns". This means that I could get 'volume' and 'change station' buttons to work, but some of the other steering wheel buttons (e.g. answer the phone) only produce a voltage change when depressed which means the stereo is unable to understand it. Is there a way around this issue? The connects 2 unit is configured as "chinese learning" - unsure whether a different option would work. Thanks

Thanks for the informative video. I note your advice on the necessity to attach the harness/adapters in order from the head unit towards the vehicle interface, but I am a bit perplexed as to how this can have any effect as the system should be un-powered during the connection procedure. What kind of witchcraft is going on here?
As the car is turned off the battery is still pumping power to the car's electronics, I believe that it is common practice in the US to disconnect the terminals from the battery, but in the UK we keep it attached and just go ahead, it's not common that it will mess about with the electronics, but its always better to go by the book

Thanks for that, point taken - but wouldn't it be a bit clearer to say that the connection to the car harness should be the last one? It really doesn't matter which order the components are connected between the HU and the points upstream of the final connection, does it? BTW I've just installed an ATOTO A6 into my Audi TT RS using your components and they work very well.
@@Connects2Uk so if the battery is disconnected then it doesn't matter? I've always disconnected the negative lead before mucking about with the wiring inside the dash, it just seems legit to me. I don't want sparks or for the battery to drain while I'm sitting there trying to tie everything together.
Not really, especially concerning our wiring as everything is plug and play (connector > connector)
Using other wiring when loose, I would tend to disconnect as being connected you will have more risk of the battery draining what with electrics being on and as you say risking a short/creating sparks
But some people have certain practices, and thats good, it's what distinguishes a true professional to the weekend novice
