  • "Synthetic Reverie" is an experimental electronic dance track produced with the assistance of the generative AI system Udio.com. The track is based on an old track of mine that I had produced in 3/4 time signature to give it the feeling of a Viennese Waltz.
This one is fascinating. Udio has issues with anything that is not 4/4 and it was quite a bit of a challenge to keep the AI generation in 3/4. Somewhere in the middle Udio decided to go polyrhythmic on me and I went for it. The result is quite astonishing. By far my favorite AI generated track so far.
It was also interesting that the quality of the audio that Udio produced was better than before. For this one, I needed to do very little remastering work. The track came out of Udio almost exactly the way you hear it here.

Yes, Udio sometimes has his "own" will 🤣 But sometimes the suggestions are so great that you wonder why you didn't think of them yourself. Great song 👍👍👍And since this song was put together from small "fragments", the actual artistic director deserves the credit. 👍

This was actually a 3 minute track that I used. I took a 30 second snipplet of what I felt deserves a hallucination and then developed it further. What I usually do is somewhere in the iterative process I cut out the original loop to make it more consistent. You can hear the difference between what you used to prompt and what Udio creates.

@@MichaelsSecondChannel So far I have only used the uploading of my own songs to add vocals to them later. The disadvantage is that you always have to add something first...
I contacted Udio directly with the request to be able to add vocals to my own uploaded songs without making any changes. It should come. I will offer Udio a finished song of mine. Let's see what result I get. So far this AI has convinced me more as a tool than Suno or AIVA. I don't regret having bought the extended functions now.
