You're forgetting about the " armored xyz" engine that came out in DUNE or AGOV! Armored shark has a good sinergy with them and that can be considered as a good start (even tistina used it as a start). I think these supports are supposed to go along with that "armored xyz" engine
Even if we don't get Mermail support in this set we may get it in the next set like the way fire got support over two sets. And the next structure deck may be an Atlantean Mermail structure deck with new Atlanteans, and mermails, and a new Mermail boss monster.
XYZ Poseidon Splash's second effect is devastating to a lot of decks under Rivalry, drop a fish, sea serpent of aqua monster on their field while they have nothing and unless they're playing that type in their extra deck they're boned.

Funny how the Reincarnate Unveil Mail, also alliterated as RUM and looking just like a RUM works in this deck as a RUM. Get big jaws into drake shark, make the OG number 32, equip it with RUM, attack with drake, use its effect and attack again if you want, then use RUM effect to return itself to the hand to then discard to fulfill the condition on the new shark drake leviathan by pitching itself and summoning during the battle phase, attack twice and maybe also negate wa monster while you’re at it, and if for some reason the opponent isn’t dead yet equip the RUM from the grave again during the end phase.
All the cards are super good.....Armored Shark is actually pretty good for FA Dark Knight Lancer.....XYZ Poseidon Splash also becomes insane with Dark Knight Lancer as you can recycle and use it again and again on opponents turn to wipe their board clean....Reincarnate Unveil Mail can be used with both Dark Knight and combo with Shark Drake....Just Summon Shark Drake equip it with RUM and attack twice using shark Drake's effect then use RUM to return itself to the hand to Xyz summon Shark Drake Leviathan by discarding RUM itself and get two more attacks with SD Leviathan....New Big Jaws, Drake Shark and the Spell Traps are already too good..
@SliferStreaming I took a second look at it and sure enough, it is "veiss" on the card. I have the old ultimate rare one, so it looked like "weiss" at first glance; my mistake. 😅😅

Konami never should've nerfed those anime cards because they still print really busted cards in the IRL TCG regardless. They're just greedy and inept at this point...
as much as i love seeing zexal getting card support lately again in recent years. Even though i haven't played the tcg in years but been planning on hoping back into it casually again though. I would love more gx support cards like for heroes etc.
You discard Reincarnate Unveil Mail to summon Shark Drake Leviathan because it is free then and also the intials of this card are RUM which is short for Rank-Up Magic.

Funny thing is lots of monsters in yhe zexal anime had anime only effect to count as 2 material for xyz, but this is a first for the tcg/ocg

Drake Shark's 2 material effect was on a lot of anime monsters in Zexal, that's how most of the 3 mat boss monsters were summoned
