I’m African American and I’m really moved and inspired by what I’ve been hearing and seeing from some of our African leaders. I can see us as a ppl rising up and becoming more and more established as a major world power and dominant united ppl on this planet again. I feel like Africa is our only hope for our salvation. We can’t overcome our enemies if we don’t unite. All the other branches of the human race know this and fear it because they benefit from taking advantage of us and our resources in the motherland. We need to rely on our own intelligence, wisdom, strength, spirituality, man power, and resources. Give the others back their philosophies and ideologies. We have all we need to thrive and be productive and prosperous in this world. Focus solely on us and our needs as a united ppl and then deal with the rest of the world accordingly.
Wow! It is always good to know a person personally before judging them. President Museveni brought tears out of my eyes, as I heard him spoke on how Africa can become one nation. We the people of African countries have been brain washed for a very, very long time now! As an African, I think it is time for us to support, believe, and trust leaders on the continent to transform into one country. Nyerere held Tanganyika and Zanzibar together into Tanzania, a union stronger than the sum of its parts. He forced people to put their common identity above their specific ones. The union survived his passing and the state is still strong. All of East Africa from Somalia to Mozambique could be likewise incorporated into a Swahili union but they would have to find a leader, or a group of them, that could overcome the nationalist separatism that would undoubtedly be stoked by Western idealists.

As a native West African, I agree with President Museveni.
Africa (East, West and Southern regions) must first of all unite regional and, the unity language must be Kiswahili.
The unity must be both economic and political. Once the regional unity is in place, then East, West and Southern Africa can easily be united.
Note: I deliberately left out North Africa because, the Arabs in that part of Africa do not consider themselves as Africans. Besides, they will deliberately, in my opinion, delay the unity of Africa. They think that they’re superior and better than black Africans. Thus, the East, West and Southern Africa must always treat them as a huge liability to the unity of the African Continent.

They have knowledge, wisdom is something different and that is what lacks. That is why Africa is beleaguered by such misleaders who like to pontificate but are so inept on delivery. They talk in forked tongues. When they stop signing lop sided deals with the Chinese and Americans, when they stop brutalising their unarmed civilians so that they remain in power & when they create enabling environment that disincentivises their citizens trying to flee the motherland at the earliest opportunity many going overseas doing menial jobs including being brutalised in the Middle East & dying in the Mediterranean Sea.
