- Heres my build that I created of the 62 Chevy Impala. A new shell released from Redcat Racing. The shells designed to fit on the redcat 64 Impala chassis (LRH285 chassis) the rear wheels is a little off but it still looks good with the car.This is another custom build im proud to add to my collection. Thank you!! I used the mounts from the Monte Carlo and used magnets to mount it onto the shell.

Thank you!! I used thin tape for my door and hook, trunk lines. I have ran out if it and I need more. If I can find it again ill send you s link asap.

Thank you! Im not sure what i would sell one for.. I put quite a bit of effort into these builds.
Did you use the 12 LED LIGHTING SYSTEM from redcat?
No I used 5mm led lights and used red jst plugs to make the kit. I also used led holders to keep the lights in place.
did you paint the chrome parts or used bare metal foil ?
I painted the chrome parts with spaz chrome on the shell. On the chassis I have a chrome paint pen I use called big thumb chrome markers.

How did you mount the body on the chassis?
I used the extra mounts from the monte carlo kit. I used magnets to attach the shell onto the chassis.

Thank you!! I did have a good thanksgiving. hope you had a great one as well. I actually used the left over extra mounts from the Monte Carlo and I added magnets to connect the shell to the chassis.
Oh damn ok so the 64 mount maY work.
U just glued it to the body ? U think i can get the bumpers from the 64 so can screw on?

Hey did you paint the on the inside or outside
I painted it on the inside, its highly recommended to paint your lexan shells on the inside and use polycarbonate paint. I like to use liquid mask to mask the car off and paint my different colors.

What did you use for the chrome on the body
I used spaz stix for the chrome on my bumpers and grills.I usred about the whole can on the car.

how did you get the moldings for the body?
And how did you get the stickers for the side trim
The molding is actually painted chrome with the shell. I used spaz stix chrome paint for all of the chrome trim. I got the stickers from skunkshobbies.com as a special request. If you message them you may be able to buy some from them.

I got my 62 body and it’s got a crease in the rear quarters panels. Wtf?
I completely understand this has bee. brought up before, and it is due to the print and how they make the bodies due to it being a one piece, which explains why the Chevy Impala has no creases in it because it was a three piece body…
@@TheDsnvogues i didn’t see it in the ‘64 body. You would think redcat would do it like the ‘64
