I upgraded to this phone from an iPhone 5 about a week ago and I have nothing but positive things to say. The display is great, it is full of features, and it's hella fast. The only thing is the as he said in the Oviedo it does tend to overheat when I'm doing intense gaming, but otherwise it's cool. Great phone would definitely recommend it.
Lol ill buy the Korean version just for that sick antenna 😝 ill go up to my friends and just pull out a antenna out of a 2014 smartphone =P

Tell me why I instantly looked at my phone to see and was very disappointed it wasn't on mines. I just got my LG G3 today.
Darn you, Mike. You always make me have buyers-regret for what I've already bought. Interesting how the storage size regulates the amount of RAM in the phone. Never seen that before. The customized ROM is impressive. It is pretty close to stock. I liked HTC Sense 6 on my One M8, but it just didn't feel quite as smooth as the Google Play version. So I flashed the ROM. :D Anyways, enough rambling. Good video Mike!
Thanks so much Quinn! You did not make a wrong decision with the One, you still have the phone with the best build, speakers, and headphone amp. I think my biggest issue with the One is the camera and the location of the lock button. The G3 definitely hits some key points with the camera and display, the software is a little buggy right now but should get better once it arrives in the US.

I can't tell you how many times I have accidentally turned off my phone while watching videos. having keys on the back would be helpful for me lol.

LG G3 is definitely one of, if not the best phone of 2014 so far. Some of these gimmicks are really cool, and the camera quality, build quality, and awesome UI really stood out.

I had the G2 and just got this yesterday. I'm probably going to stick with the G series for a long time. G2 was amazing and this one just improves on it.

Hell yes! I bought the LG G3 at launch and I loved and still love the phone it was VERY advanced for its time and still holds up today. It has an amazing display and even after 2 and a half years of using the phone it still holds up flawlessly. I gave up the phone to get the Note 7 and that was the worst decision of my life, the Note 7 had its advantages but honestly was not a great deal better and it was also a terrible decision because of all the crap I have had to go through with this stupid exploding ordeal.
LG devices are always super snappy, even the G2 is really snappy.
I wanted to thank you so very much for making this video! I just spent the last 2 hours following along, pausing and messing with my phone where necessary to learn all about my new LG G3. I truly appreciate the time and effort you put into making this. It is very helpful and very thorough. I really enjoyed the "open palm and close" to take a picture. AWESOME!

By far my favuorite reviewer on phones/tablets, was watching your reviews since 2013. Keep up the good job.
The tap pattern to unlock thing is really cool! I really like how you can switch to different accounts that way. The ability to hide the soft touch buttons in certain apps is also way cool as well.
Although I don't have this phone, one of the things I like about the G3 is the fact that Optimus UI is so customizable, yet it's flatter in appearance and more muted in tone, as opposed to the garish, ugly look of TouchWiz on my current S3. I thus wouldn't need to download a third-party launcher like Nova to mask it. The G3 has the same features as TouchWiz and includes some settings that come with Nova already as part of the Optimus UI, which I love. To me, it's the perfect balance. I assume that the Lollipop update will only help.
That being said, I'm one that wants battery life. I'm concerned that the QHD screen will drain the battery, as opposed to a 1080P screen. Frankly, I see no difference as far as PPI to the naked eye, and I think all those pixels on QHD might be overkill. Also. I'm not a fan of the onscreen buttons; I prefer capacitive buttons, so as to not take away screen real estate. I also don't like the headphone jack being on the bottom, as it would be annoying in-pocket. I am by no means a gamer, nor a photographer, but I do experiment with apps from the Play Store. Ideally, I want a battery that lasts for multiple phone calls, texts and browsing/CZcams throughout the day.
Along those lines, I enjoyed the Droid Turbo review. as a female, I like the fact that it has a sturdy build and a near-stock UI that still has features. I'd call it a "masculine" phone, but I don't mind that much. Also, that battery would be perfect for me; however, I'm a T-Mobile customer, and would have to get the unlocked version. I will wait it out til next year, though. Question is, do I wait to see if LG makes improvements to the issues I stated above in the G4, or do I get a Droid Turbo once the price is reduced?

Well pal we exactly have the same thought and concern about the G3. I'll be buying my phone this wk and until now I can't decide between note3 and G3 (note4 still expensive). I want the g3's ui than the note 3 but I was wondering how much battery it drains since it is QHD especially that I play heavy games and watch lots of videos.
Mimz Cruz Have you seen Erica Griffin's G3 review? She might be able to answer that question for you, because she goes really in-depth about pixel density and color saturation, battery life, etc. As for myself, I'm holding off to see what these companies come up with in 2015. Honestly, I think tech had a down year overall this year. But it depends on how you use your phone. For you, since you're a gamer, I'd go with the Note, but there's that issue of TouchWiz. If you can deal with TouchWiz, go Note. Also, besides Erica's reviews, I'd look at Flossy Carter's "Real Reviews". He's not a techie, but just a consumer, and a heavy user, like yourself.
Actually I just watched Erica Griffin's review a while ago and yes she really goes in depth with phones. I'll take a look at this flossy that ur saying. You will probably understand if I tell you that I really need to buy a new phone bec I'm still with S3 and before that it was iphone 4. Well that's how I do it I buy a flagship phone then It stays with me for like 2yrs before hopping into a new one. So I wanna make sure I buy the right one this time. What's your phone now? Maybe you can give me more options. Btw thanks for ur suggestion.
Mimz Cruz You're welcome. I actually also have an S3, the unlocked international version. I'm using a 4200 mAh extended battery and a universal Zero Lemon case with it. Since I'm a light to moderate user, I can get through a day with it, but it's a brick in my small hands. It's a trade off, I guess. The standby time on the S3 is awful, though. I unplug it fully charged at night and by the time I wake up in the morning, it's down 10% without me touching it. Flossy does say that standby is great on the G3, though. I'm not one that goes crazy over Android vs. iPhone like most people do. I think it's stupid and no one should get on someone else for having either phone. That being said, since I hate TouchWiz, Samsung will really have to impress me for me to stay with it. I'm going to wait and see what LG does with the G4, or go back to HTC next year, since their skins aren't as cartoonish as Samsung's.
I also got the international version for s3, Before phablets began I was using ipad and my laptop a lot. Well my job really requires me to be online. I'am a market analyst/mystery shopper for an online shopping. I basically check everything on our website like item description, pricing etc..to make sure of the site quality and accuracy. So one thing I'm thankful of is we can almost do everything with our smartphones :) Use it as a planner, check email, gps, play games those are all important to me. Don't get me wrong I'm telling you this for you to understand how important this "smartphone choosing decision" is. So far its tormenting me like hell :)
To me this is arguably the best looking phone in the market right now. Too bad it's LG. Try to imagine Apple or Sony logo on it and you might see my point

Ive ordered a Moto 4g 2014 but then i saw an offer with this phone. Never have been fond of Lg's name in the mobile phones but i guess its a good thing ive changed my order to this phone. Truly excited now. cant wait till i get it.

That antenna is for dmb-tv, I owned a lot of android phones from Korea with dmb-tv and that extra feature is useless here in the Philippines. :)

Your presentation, product knowledge (including effectively displaying the features) and overall persona are without a doubt head and shoulders above most self produced videos on CZcams. oh, i think the 5.5" screen is one of the features I love about LG G3, and also the camera, the design of the phone itself and the button located at the back of the phone, which i'm sure it will be comfortable and useful

Great review. I am from Norway, and have just ordered the G3. When i compared prices it was a no brainer. The Iphone 6 is about double the prize! Also the G3 has dropped significantly in prize the two last years.

This is pretty much a modernized version of the "LG Motion 4G" phone which came out back in late 2012. I own this phone and I still like it very much, thinking about getting the LG G3 this Christmas though.

If this device would've came out earlier, I would've definetly bought it over my galaxy s5. I mean I adore my gs5, but since I saw the g3 back in may, I fell in love with it lol. Well still, really happy with my s5, excited to see what will the smartphone world have available to us in 2 years when my contract ends in 2016:) iphone 7, galaxy s7, lg g5, htc one m10, 4k screens, 5g internet, can't wait !!
