    You know that one team in the league that bends every rule to the breaking point and crushes every other team? Well, my team just beat them today and I couldn't be more proud. Thanks for all the tips and pointers to help them be the best they can!

    What size is the bag Matty is using on this video?

  • @danNat978
    @danNat978 Před rokem +2

    I assume Matty is using a usa bat not a usssa bat . We have the16 oz balls I think they make heavier ones too love the fist bump

    I noticed that Matty looks directly at the ball on the tee. Is that OK? I always had our players look into the net at a player who is throwing a "phantom pitch" down the middle or whatever we were working on to keep the batters' head up.

      Yeah we teach the same thing. He actually doesn’t hit off the tee much, so I haven’t taught him that yet.

    Just a quick question, I play high school baseball and I’m wondering if I should be using weighted balls for batting practice ❓

    • @AntonelliBaseball
      @AntonelliBaseball  Před rokem +2

      We incorporate them into our routine as shown in the video. We also use weighted bats

      If Matt is using them I’m sure they could be beneficial. Makes sense. It amazes me how much baseball has evolved from the early 90’s when I played.

      What’s the bat size Matty is using on the video?

    Does the weighted balls damage the bat?

      I was about to ask the same thing

    • @goat1941
      @goat1941 Před rokem +1

      No, the weighted balls are actually really soft, just much heavier than a baseball. Think a soft rubber shell of a sand bag. My sons been using them for awhile with his Easton ADV carbon fiber bat and no problem. Baseballs are much more of an issue with carbon bats.

    Do you have any tips for the yips I’m rlly struggling with it right now an it’s been going on for two weeks I’m 16 years old an we have a new head coach one of his rules is every past ball in warmups is a foul pole for the whole team I can throw fine most of practice but during warmups it’s like I have forgotten to throw a baseball an my teammates are all getting mad at me because I’m 99% of the reason they are having to run it’s embarrassing because I’m supposed to be one of the leaders on the team I have thrown good my whole life up to this point an now it’s gotten so bad that it’s carrying over to the field a little too if I’m making a long throw from the outfield or from 3rd to 1st I’m fine probably one of the best on the team at those type throws but when I’m on the mound an have to pick a guy or field a ball back to me an make a short throw to first I spike it like every time I don’t get why an I don’t understand how I pitch fine I can hit all my spots but while I’m just warming up with the catcher before pitching I may as well be throwing with my left hand

      All my teammates just keep telling me to not think abt it an jus throw but I can’t I don’t get it I can’t get it out of my head even when I’m not playing even right now it’s 12:30 am my time an I have school tomorrow but I can’t sleep I have aspirations to play college ball somewhere someday an i literally can’t even throw i ball 20 ft rn it’s all I’ve been thinking abt for the past 2 weeks

      It sounds like nerves. Just try and calm down and let everything fall into place. Don’t force it too much. Good luck kid. 🍀
