I used some of those and also used 2 noodles crossed over to place under my head to float in the ocean. Was a wonderful floating device and helped me to calm my fears of open water, after I got sunk by a huge wave years ago.

Love the canoe , idea ! I have actually used the noodle while standing on it in the deep end of the pool for a core , balance exercise!

Thank you for this useful information. I always wondered how you could use a water noodle and integrate it into your swim instruction curriculums and now you show me the answer. Love you!

I love noodles so much they make me do the doggy paddle better since I only master freestyle and it’s amazing for trading water. It makes it way easier. But just reminder that this will not really do anything to you if you don’t really know how to swim. You need to at least know how to move your hands and float to be able to use it properly but it’s still fun to use it in the shallow water if you really don’t know how to swim

I am waiting for a hip replacement and decided to "walk in the water" to try and keep the muscle in my leg as strong as I could. On land exercise just hurt! I use the noodle as a bicycle. I put it between my legs - hold onto the part poking up in front of me and use a peddling action - I don't move far or fast - but get a really good workout with only a little pain - but most of all with water resistance I am keeping the muscles in my legs working!

I know how to swim but haven't been in a pool for over 30 years. I need to build strength in my arms and legs. What would be the best way to use a noodle to achieve the results I want?

Hey bro, I'm 28 years old, 5'7 and 92 kilos.. I've always loved water but just unfortunate that I can't swim or even float.. Had two incidents where I drowned, but that won't stop me for trying to learn.. Do you think using this swimming noodles could potentially help me out alot and able to float even or swim in the deep. I need your help brother

I bought 2 noodles than joined them to make a circle. I used thick rubber hairbands .I don't go into the deep end of the pool .must feel the pool floor with my feet
These noodles are amazing .you can use them as a tube and fold your feet and just float away .put them under your arms kick back your legs and float .my grandkids laugh at me but I enjoy myself .

      Hello Jan,
      Thank you for the message.
If your child has never been in the water before, I would recommend using armbands or discs as a safety consideration. This will provide your child with more reassurance and support.

janhavi you’re welcome! Just make sure that he can keep his mouth out of the water when swimming. If he has the armbands on and a pool noodle you can let him explore. Just make sure you’re at arms reach. 👍🏼
