Because the theory of short stack poker to large stack can make more cash.
Phil hellmuth buys in for minimum when he plays in large stack games, and I was curious to why I see him do that?
I did some research into why players were mad that he does that.
I play short stacked sometimes and I feel like I leave with more cash then if I buy maximum.
When short stacked, people will call your all in more then if large stacked.
Play just the top ten hands until you double stack then play aggressively with the winnings.
(Sometimes in cash games) I keep only the minimum on table, and put winnings in pocket. Once I’m out of my minimum I leave. Taking some winnings with me. I slip a chip into my pocket every so often. Some get mad about angle shooting, but I never pull it out to play. It’s what I’m taking home.
