      @@robyee3325 Aggressive players, balanced players, a ton of people actually. It is not abnormal to 3bet suited connectors and 1 gappers. This is how big pairs get cracked, more often than KK v AA when there is a call pre. KK v AA is more likely to get it all in pre. Your commentary suggests you are inexperienced and / or not very studied, which shouldn't be taken as an insult because this does not necessarily mean you are a losing player. Just that you play against worse people, and this is a very very very very normal play from Luda who literally loses money by being too aggressive. Sometimes the psycho aggro fish hits a hand and you have to pay it off because 70% of the time he is full of shit, but once in a while he is going to have an 8 here.

    • @hockeyislife67
      @hockeyislife67 Před 3 měsíci

      There are a lot of other factors to the call. 1. The 4 bet is tad small (3.5 - 4.5x would be a better size) and he gave luda a nice price 2. Luda's stack to pot ratio is very good to play the hand post flop if he misses or catches a draw of some sorts, makes playing hands like AK, AQ (on a no pair flop) or pocket pairs to a single over very complex for GT cause even though the C-bet is expected like 80%+ after the 4 bet against the back raiser- a c-bet into luda jammin makes him almost committed to calling on a lot of flops, example if he had qq or jj and c-bet this flop for what he did and luda jams for 32k more its such an insanely tough spot getting 4-1 on the call. Or say for example the flop was instead k97. 3. It is a TV game and when the decision is close the players lean towards calling cause they want to get invited back. 4. The stand up game was on and GT was 1 of 2 people left, therefore his range is just always bigger than it normally would be. Knowing GT has AA yes its a bad call but if you give GT a bit more of a range its not that bad. Still probably is slightly negative EV but considering luda probably thinks he has an edge over GT it might be pretty damn close.@@alexdivano6407

    I think a bit of what goes through Ludas mind is that with all the callers in the hand being weighted towards having higher cards a lot of his outs are going to be more live. So instead of 21.7 percent equity vs aces he might have more equity. Plus, when he calls off one pair he may beat out ak a small percentage of the time. Probably still bad but piping that high has benefits when it comes to getting paid in other hands.

    Luda gambled a small amount compared to opponents bankroll. He had four potential outcomes that would create a huge payout since his opponent most likely had AA or KK. Luda was looking for two pair, trips, flush, or a straight (very low chance for a boat). He hit one of them. GT failed to see that since he was fixated on his strong hand. The other issue that played into the situation is Luda's image of being a huge bluffer. Most people love to crush Luda but it can backfire like we witnessed here.

If you're going to play in a game like this, you have to expect a lot of crazy hands will win pots. And if you've got A-A against three callers, you're usually only around 50% to win the hand. When you can't thin the field, you're just throwing darts to see who hits.

    Sucks that he basically got flopped dead, but you have to analyze player tendencies and adjust. If he’d shoved Aces preflop Luda was have in all likelihood folded, but once the flop hit and Luda shoves river more often than not Aces are no good. I think it’s sad that he’s saying Luda cheated when Luda’s hand is pretty face up (he’s losing to any 8.x hand A.8 suited being most likely), J.J, and KK. He’s tilted, but what reasonable cheat could Luda have employed to flop trips (if we assume he can’t stop time) 😂

  • @nitthegrit7544

    I think one thing ppl looking at this event need to understand is that GT is a very tight player. The regulars on the stream also recognize and have known for a while now that he's always been a tight player. So GT is very much aware of how his playstyle is perceived (and in fact, you can see past streams where people joke about putting in money vs. him because he always shows the nuts or something close to it). So when you factor this perception into the equation, where Luda backraises him, and then flops trips against his AA, *and* he's already tilting once he arrived, you can maybe start to understand a little more why he might think the way he was.

    It really surprises me how many people in the comment section think this is a normal call because it´s a good hand to crack aces with. It´s a good hand to crack aces if you hit the right flop as a speculative hand in position if you see the flop cheaply and it´s a bit hidden supposedly. The point is that he put a third of his stack in the middle calling to see a flop. the chances of flopping trips are 1.74%, the chances of flopping a straight with 86 is under 1% and the chances of flopping a flush is 1%. So a third of his stack for a less than 4% chance of hitting a really good flop or getting into a situation where you have 33% to 50% equity if you hit a good draw but you know you have 0 fold equity. 33% of your stack when the opponent tells you the strenght of his hand. And people here are just like: ha , normal play, nothing to see here, 86s is really good against aces, bla bla. STFU, that´s not a wining poker players call, LAG or not. Ridiculous. Nothing completely unheard of but if you sit there and you get laughed in your face when someone get´s really lucky after playing shitty and that guy gets lightly rubbed by a masseuse at the same time acting like he´s a god. Fucking creepy. What Alex said, if you see people make plays like that you don´t expect to see them on a lifelong winner list, it´s bloody ridiculous. Again, it´s a good hand against aces if you are in position, got to see the flop cheaply, can outplay your opponent on later streets and a lot of other criteria. Not just fuck it, all in like Mike Postle, haha trips, i´m the greatest. If he´s a drunk rich kid, by all means, but this is supposedly a winning cashgame player and he grins in everybodys face like he knows something. But you´re not suspicious a little bit, jesus.

    The Garret j4 thing was far more believable as potential cheating, and HCL didn't have to be involved in that hand. Just someone who is getting reads on the cards and sending her a basic "ahead" or "behind" signal. Honestly that j4 hand makes so much more sense when viewed like that, she may not have been technically ahead, but someone getting a quick read on the cards and knowing that her j was higher than Garret's 8 high giving her the signal that she's ahead... It just makes the hand make sense... She gets the "ahead" signal, checks her cards, sees jack high and thinks that means he must have complete trash, so she raises and calls the shove.
