Catherine should be glad that Steve's sister Mary wasn't at his house when she came back because she needed his help to save his mother because Catherine lied to him about going to help earthquake victims in Asia, which was a lie because Mary would've yelled at Catherine for walking out on Steve again because of what he & Mary have been through since their mother abandoned them for a job with the government.
Lynn is more beautiful (except in that scene for some reason), she's way better for Steve, never broke her heart, doesn't lie to him constantly and it's overall a much healthier relationship! I don't know why Steve kept going back to this failure, it was mostly to use the Navy ressources as a tool anyway until she left so that's not very romantic. It was a boring forced and toxic relationship. Probably Steve didn't have the time to go chase girls either anyway. It doesn't really matter but I'm glad we saw Lynn and saw a bit of the romantic McGarrett, not one who seemed to have feelings without the slightest hint of chemistry between he and Rollins.

I always got the impression Catherine was sort of coerced into joining the CIA. Like maybe they helped her when she was helping her friend in the middle east, and she had to repay the debt. Her conversation on the phone after leaving Steve felt like an attempt to setup a future explanation.
Steve would be so caught in the middle if he saw Catherine & Lynn fighting over him. He would be very upset to see that happen with his own eyes. Thank goodness it didn't happen.

Ok controversial opinion. I hate Catherine. She only ever comes to Steve when she needs something, how many times has she ditched him now? He was head over heals for her and she just walks out. Don’t really see what people like about her
That is not true. He needs her much more than she needs him. She wanted to help other people, that is why she ditched him. She would have married him if he came out and asked her first. She said yes when he asked her what she would say.
I realised after seeing season 4 a few times that to be honest they didn't go anywhere with Catherine. She basically showed up in a few scenes here and there. There was no real romance between steve and catherine in season 4. Her character was basically a waste. I seriously don't know why they were too afraid to give steve and danny someone that they could go home too. If i was a writer i would have made Ellie his new girl and later his wife. She was perfect for him a strong minded Aussie who could stand up to steve in the right way. Who loves fishing and she had lost her father to murder as well and she new Steves dad. Not to mention she and Alex are both Australian it was a match made in heaven. She wasn't military or a cop which means they could have her show up here and there and still keep the brotherly connection between steve and danny. I liked catherine but i totally understand why there just was no point. Which is sad bc they could've.

Whether she was working as an agent outside America or not, Catherine should've tried to fight to get Steve back after he lost 2 relatives between the day he was going to ask her to marry him and her returning to ask Steve to get his mother out of prison despite what she did to him, his sister and their father by abandoning them to return to work as a spy. He lost his Uncle Bruce to leukemia and then his Aunt Deb to a brain tumor and that she passed away right in front of him in his house. If Steve's Aunt Deb & his Uncle Bruce were still alive, they would've tried to plead with Catherine to not leave Steve again, whether he was dating Lynn or not.
If Steve's mother got to meet Lynn while he was dating her,would she like her,or would she say to Steve that he should've proposed to Catherine a lot sooner because she doesn't like Lynn? Steve's father didn't live long enough to see Steve with Catherine or any other woman.
I think people need to remember this is all make believe. In reality, Steve and Catherine are two people that have killed many other people throughout their careers. It would have some kind of psychological impact on them... we have seen it does with thousands of former soldiers that have mental health issues dealing with killing people in the line of duty. There would be some demons in their closets. I kind of liked the Lynn character... she was just a normal everyday person looking for a mate. She is in the series to show that Catherine and Steve are damaged goods who cannot settle with a normal person. Michelle Borth is a beautiful looking woman in real life and probably a very nice person. However, Catherine ends up being a CIA operative...a do whatever it takes type person...like Steve's mother. My question is how would this pair find normalcy?

I hate Catherine.
She only ever comes to Steve when she needs something, how many times has she ditched him now? He was head over heals for her and she just walks out. Don’t really see what people like about her

Catherine is beautiful and they have great chemistry. Steve should have asked Cath to marry him sooner.
That is not true. He needs her much more than she needs him. She wanted to help other people, that is why she ditched him. She would have married him if he came out and asked her first. She said yes when he asked her what she would say.

I realised after seeing season 4 a few times that to be honest they didn't go anywhere with Catherine. She basically showed up in a few scenes here and there. There was no real romance between steve and catherine in season 4. Her character was basically a waste.
I seriously don't know why they were too afraid to give steve and danny someone that they could go home too.
If i was a writer i would have made Ellie his new girl and later his wife. She was perfect for him a strong minded Aussie who could stand up to steve in the right way. Who loves fishing and she had lost her father to murder as well and she new Steves dad. Not to mention she and Alex are both Australian it was a match made in heaven. She wasn't military or a cop which means they could have her show up here and there and still keep the brotherly connection between steve and danny.
I liked catherine but i totally understand why there just was no point. Which is sad bc they could've.
It's odd that Lynn didn't give Catherine a piece of her mind for the injustice she did to Steve by lying to him about the reason she was leaving him again.
If Lynn asked Catherine in anger if it was worth it for Catherine to take a job as a government at not only Steve's expense but his family's expense, would Catherine answer that question, or wouldn't she?
Whether she was working as an agent outside America or not, Catherine should've tried to fight to get Steve back after he lost 2 relatives between the day he was going to ask her to marry him and her returning to ask Steve to get his mother out of prison despite what she did to him, his sister and their father by abandoning them to return to work as a spy. He lost his Uncle Bruce to leukemia and then his Aunt Deb to a brain tumor and that she passed away right in front of him in his house. If Steve's Aunt Deb & his Uncle Bruce were still alive, they would've tried to plead with Catherine to not leave Steve again, whether he was dating Lynn or not.
If Steve's mother got to meet Lynn while he was dating her,would she like her,or would she say to Steve that he should've proposed to Catherine a lot sooner because she doesn't like Lynn? Steve's father didn't live long enough to see Steve with Catherine or any other woman.

I think people need to remember this is all make believe. In reality, Steve and Catherine are two people that have killed many other people throughout their careers. It would have some kind of psychological impact on them... we have seen it does with thousands of former soldiers that have mental health issues dealing with killing people in the line of duty. There would be some demons in their closets.
I kind of liked the Lynn character... she was just a normal everyday person looking for a mate. She is in the series to show that Catherine and Steve are damaged goods who cannot settle with a normal person.
Michelle Borth is a beautiful looking woman in real life and probably a very nice person. However, Catherine ends up being a CIA operative...a do whatever it takes type person...like Steve's mother. My question is how would this pair find normalcy?

Dans le salon, Lynn apprend à Catherine que Steve voulait l'a demandée en mariage juste avant son départ pour la CIA, ce dont elle n'était pas au courant. Ensuite dans l'avion. Catherine le remercie de lui avoir sauver la vie lorsque sa couverture d'agent était en danger. Il lui pose la question pour savoir quand est ce que la CIA l'a recrutée et elle lui repond "lorsqu'elle était en Afghanistan", Steve conclu que son retour (lors de l'épisode saison 5x25) elle savait déjà qu'elle allait partir et qu'elle lui avait menti.
