I watched the first episode for the first time only a few months ago, within minutes of them meeting I thought they were going to get together. Their chemistry/introduction was classic for a will-they-won't-they TV couple. I just felt that vibe. It's weird to me that Kono/Steve is shipped more than Kono/Danny in the fandom, since I always got big brother vibes from the former. I guess I sort of understand it with Steve being the main lead (and more typical heartthrob of the show), but if I wasn't such a big McDanno shipper I would 100% ship Kono and Danny.
