Heyy I’ve always wanted to make a home similar to my ancestors and I just have a question of where did you get the bamboo and how did you get electrical
Hi Jessica! I hired out for the electrical and have solar panels. I sourced the bamboo from a local farm. It has to be the right class of bamboo and cut during the 5 days before the new moon to avoid termites. Where I live, green bamboo (cañaza amarga) is very rare so I had to do a lot of asking around!
Ooof that chainsaw is begging for a sharpen, also never ever cut with just the tip because its liable to shoot back if you hit a knot, id advise setting up a some kind of saw horse to hold whatever you are cutting, very very dangerous stuff chainsaw cuts are no joke.
Love seeing updates from you guys!
Can't wait to see the finished version of the house, but am enjoying seeing the steps along the way too!
Thank you so much!! We are living in it now, and it's amazing! It is going to change a LOT, I'm excited to share the result 😊

Side note, you can also use cedar wood or teak wood as your cage material!
@@turiyapanamaif you put some lime in your cob mixture then that will deter the termites as well.
@@christofferraby4712 that's a great idea!!
