While Jess is privileged and I would say it's normal to feel envious- what is more important is that she seems so warm hearted, genuine and humble. While she is showing people a lifestyle that most people cannot have, I think these vlogs teach people to be chilled, humble and kind (no matter what background you come from).

First of all I'm enjoying these vlogs a lot 'cause I kinda get to see places and I love Jessie and her personality. I think the last thing to focus on in this vlog is the wealth of Jessie and her family. I'm surprised that most people brought it up. She is very humble and I think she's sensitive about this topic, I guess that because she stopped making "What I got for birthday/christmas" videos because she didn't want to brag and she felt bad making them. I mean I think these kind of comments can make her feel uncomfortable and bad.
Exactly, I wish people would stop. Her mom worked hard and she's able to take her kids around the world, that's beautiful.

jess is a beautiful person, even her daily vlogs give us so much entertainment and information about different stuff because she is not an empty person, she reads, she talks about her experiences and she is overall an interesting person. i don't think jess' financial situation should be mentioned that much on the comments, because even if she had not have much money she would most probably try to travel a lot but maybe stay in not that luxurious hotels, the fact that she loves travelling and seeing different things and cultures makes her interesting, the luxurious stuff is just an eye candy. and she always appreciates how luxurious the stuff is. i love seeing places like that because i have never been in places like that. i hope she does not get miscouraged by all these comments and keeps on doing travel videos like that. nobody should be ashamed of their lifestyle. jess is not a bad person at all. she does not deserve this.

i was also wondering how you feel seeing the stark contrast of people's lives in India? like being a tourist and staying in a really nice hotel but then seeing the way the locals live? (i hope this doesn't come off like i'm attacking you or anything like that by the way, i'm just interested in your experience and opinions because for me it elicit v conflicting feelings)
It's like that anywhere really America, Latin America, Canada, Europe. Every place has its slums and it's nice parts.
india is a very diverse country. it is also a very unequal country. you will find the richest people that live the most extravagant lives all over india. the most educated, poised, learned. but at the same time you will have extremely poor people that live in poverty and barely make ends meet. it is very sad. and I am not saying this as an outsider. I have indian heritage.
if you have money, india is an amazing country to live in since there is nothing you can't get.
+car Av Not really. Take my country,Croatia,for example. We don't have slums or places where people with low financial status live. There certainly are some people who do not live as good as the others but there are no people without electricity or proper housing. So when I see how someone lives in India,it can be a bit of a shock to me.
No where has slums like India has... Particularly countries like America and Canada. Australia doesn't have slums at all...

I like that even though you have loads of money, you don't seem vain, shallow or narcissistic which are often triats that go alongside wealthy folk. You actually seem quite intelligent and down to earth.
Honestly I am absolutely disgusted at these nasty bitter comments. It's laughable because Jess is SUCH a humble girl. So many other youtubers I could name churn out the most self indulgent claptrap it's a joke. Jess is one of the most down to earth people on youtube. It's not that I care very much about Jess and her finances etc. It's a whole other world to me, I love living life through these vlogs. It does however get a little bit upsetting when you realise that your childhood was so polar opposite to this, maybe never attaining these experiences at all.

You don't see everything Jess buys anyway, whereas Zoe obviously does a lot of hauls, so you cannot make comparisons. love your vlogs jess! they're always so soothing. what was the app you were using at 4:18 for your list? also I just wanted to mention (I hope I don't offend you and that this isn't too personal) but you may have early stages of bunions, just as your big toes seem to be deviating outwards rather than aligned straight. I have a similar problem on my left foot, and my physio actually told me when I had no idea. they're super common, but they can progress and get pretty serious as you age if untreated so I suggest popping into a podiatrist just to be safe! :) looking forward to more vlogs! xxx
