      6 yr ago and it is as valid for you then as it is for me now. I just saw them in Sf on friday. I got to hug him and it was amazing.

      On "Let's Go Surfing", I'm pretty sure he used a LinnDrum. The kick is called "KICK-Linn3" and the snare is called "SNARE-Linn-2". In the "Me And The Moon" music video, you can also see a LinnDrum, so I guess this is what you're looking for.

      Apparently a solo album was made before the 3rd Drums record, (there's a video of a song on CZcams) but never released a long player. And so he collaborated with Jacob for Encyclopedia.
      Releasing in his own name would work sure, but The Drums has such a following already. Plus, Jonny has always been a principle songwriter & part of the group since the beginning and if the sound/feel is still there, why not? Makes sense to me.
