Spider-Man 2: Enter Electro is a 2001 action-adventure video game based on the Marvel Comics character Spider-Man. It was developed by Vicarious Visions and published by Activision for the PlayStation. It is the sequel to Spider-Man (2000), and directly follows the events of that game, as Spider-Man tries to stop Electro from becoming all-powerful using a mechanism called the Bio-Nexus Device. Like its predecessor, the game features several classic Spider-Man villains as bosses, including the Shocker, Hammerhead, the Lizard, Sandman, and Electro, as well as his charged-up Hyper-Electro persona, created exclusively for the game.
Enter Electro received moderate favorable reviews, with critics generally considering it to be a downgrade from its predecessor. The game gained some fame for having its final level modified after the September 11 attacks; originally set to take place on top of the World Trade Center, the setting was later changed to a generic skyscraper. It was followed by Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2 for the home video game consoles and PlayStation Portable, based on the first two films released in 2002 and 2004, while the standalone sequel for the Game Boy Advance, Spider-Man: Mysterio's Menace, was released in September 2001. - Hry

I really miss all the '90s animated series and comic book influence on the Spider-Man games. The movie influence was cool for its time, but I'm tired of it feeling so over-done by now.

Imagine if Neversoft made another psx game just called "Venom" where you move the exact same Venom from the Spider-Man game

God, how I adore this game, I have played it very, very many times, I even have dreams about this game, I go through new levels there, my brain came up with a continuation of this game, there are new locations and new bosses. It's a pity that this world will never see Spider-Man 3 ps1 😭😭😭
If I ever have a lot of money, I will hire developers and people who know the Spider-Man universe, I will give them the order to make me Spider-Man 3 in the style of ps1, this game will have new and old bosses, abilities, costumes and levels, and much more.

I always wanted a 3rd game to the original PS1 games. It would've been cool to have cameos of other characters like Moonknight and The Prowler, as well as villains like: Tombstone, Hobgoblin, Kraven the Hunter, and maybe even like Cardiac, Vermin or Boomerang.
I would like to see the 3rd part of spidey from the dialog of games on ps1

Some Enter Electro content I'd be interested to see is remixed versions of these tracks... Enter Electro may not be the best game but it did have some banger soundtracks...

I have good memories of both these games. I had the first game and beat it and my younger cousin had the sequel. I believe she beat most of that installment. Fun times. 😄😄

I imagine they didn't want to repeat bosses the previous game allready did. Although I wouldn't have minded... The absence of Black Cat, Daredevil or anyone is certainly quite strange. Aside from Beast in the beggining stage, and Rogue and Professor X in training its' pretty much Spider-man on his own. Its' like Beast forgot about you after the first stage...

Why was the game canceled when it was going to be open world?
I may be talking nonsense but maybe the scene with Thor could have been done after the release of the 9/11 version. I say this because him not remembering this scene is strange, at least to me.
your theory is definitely not nonsense, other people in my server also believe this scene may of been intended for the post 9/11 release but maybe wasn't finished in time or just removed.

Bro just a heads-up. Next time, try not to repeat the same questions multiple times. The first three questions are the same things but asked differently. Spend your questions and time with more meaningful stuff instead of asking 3 times if the game was made in paralel with the first one
Man 2023 is such a great year, an interview with the developers of spider-man for the ps1 by always nerdy and an interview with a developer of enter electro by Agrofo. Can it possibly get any better than this? i doubt it.
